How/where do you carry your slipjoints?

Traditional in right front pocket underneath a wadded up bandana with my wallet on top.
Vic Cadet in left back pocket.

right front watch pocket for smaller knives, right front pocket for alox SAK and leatherman micra (dont worrk about these getting banged by change and keys and such), back right pocket sometimes gets a douk douk or mercator clipped to the belt loop on a lanyard, and for 4 inchers i sewed a little slot on the inside of my left front pocket next to my phone/wallet. If im wearing a work shirt with a breast pocket i might put a small light knife like a slimmed down opinel 6 or below in there. If i'm wearing a jacket... well there's just more pockets to choose from.

Checkout the Kirkland jeans at Costco.

They have a BIG "watch pocket" that is designed for a cell phone.

That will swallow a 4 1/4 stock knife. A soddie Jr. just vanishes!

There is a nice guy here in Germany that does hand made pocket slips with clips for a reasonable price, so that is how I carry most of my larger knives.
The smaller ones either ride in the watch pocket "naked" or, in case of my Peanuts, in the very nice handmade leather slip gifted to me by r8shell (thanks again, still love it ;)) :D

I don't like my knives riding sideways in my pocket either. Being a female, most of my watch pockets are too small for my traditionals so I tried sewing a vertical seam on my jeans, pants and shorts pockets (inside of course), and my knives ride there. Helps keep them secure and out of the way so there is no pocket bulge or horizontal lump. Saw the idea here in a thread and tried it out. Love it and it also helps keep my knives protected from other pocket stuff.

BINGO.

I just 'retired' some older Wranglers that I'd worn out, over a span of ~10 years or so. I'd put off buying new jeans, because I was dissatisfied with the so-called 'watch pockets' on most I looked at; too small or too shallow, in all cases. UNTIL, that is, I found those jeans at Costco. Never thought I'd be looking for my 'grail' jeans with just the right pocket, but I felt like I finally found 'em. As I type this, I've got my Schrade 8OT AND my Case 6375CV in Amber Bone riding vertically in the same 'cell phone' pocket, completely nestled in and invisible to prying eyes (and there's room for a 3rd of similar size, if I really go nuts). This brings me much joy. :)

I wear scrubs at work so small slipjoint left, fruit cutting slipjoint right, in the shirt stomach pockets. I don't carry in scrub pants as they fall out too easily. In jeans I just throw a knife in whatever pocket I feel like, usually with a smaller one in my watch pocket. I've never worried about scratches or coins etc, so it makes things easier for me. I've tried pocket sheaths- too bulky, and have a couple of clipped sheaths, but rarely use them also. Sounds like I might be the lone slipjoint fan that wears scrubs in these parts.

I carry my peanut in my watch pocket and the other one in the front right.

Watch pocket and belt sheath, most of the time 2 knives:

I've been carrying a small Traditional in my button down shirt pocket over the last few weeks , and its really great .
Just about all my folders both Modern and Traditional are carried in a belt sheath .
I will never use a clip again after losing my Seb for about 4 hours a while ago .
I really don't like trouser pocket carry for a number of reasons .
Probably the biggest annoyance to me is trying to get a knife out of your pocket while sitting down .
The shirt pocket carry is really handy and very secure . Obviously you can't have a really big heavy knife in your shirt , but that is what my belt sheaths are for .

I recently saw this little sheath for sale online at a pretty reasonable price and thought about getting one to try out. What size of knives fit in it?

4" or less just drops in my front pocket. Larger than 4" rides in my Northwoods large courier.

Don't like them sideways in my front pocket as well. A small/medium folder sideways in the bottom of your back pocket is almost unnoticeable. A big folder rides nicely in the back pocket upright using the wadded up bandana (or shop rag) trick.

Watch pocket carry when I can. You'd be surprised what will fit in a standard watch pocket nicely. A Barlow or Sodbuster isn't a problem.

Like jkulysses, I'm wondering about this one also. Could be a nice alternative for a larger sized pocket knife. When you get a chance can you snap a pic of how it looks on the pants belt (curious about the angle it rides at, etc)? Thanks!

Also, what's the back side of it look like (pic of the backside)? :)

I think a 3 and 1/2 inch closed, such as a Charlow, Barlow, Mini-Trapper, even a trapper - fit best. That is a Seahorse whittler pictured in it.

The way it is sitting is the way it sits on a belt - the loop with the Case logo continues to the back and your belt slides through it. I have several because they are cheap for what you get. I am right handed and I wear it over - say my left pocket - that makes for easy cross draw access. It is extremely comfortable, even when you are sitting.

The light was getting low and I did not want to flash it, but, you get the picture. ;)

Thanks for the info and additional pics. Have also seen this sheath and wondered about it. Looks like a great way to belt carry your traditional.

I wish it was just a little bit deeper as I'd be a bit worried about losing my Charlow with that much of it hanging out there. I bet some of my 3" or 3.25" knives would be about perfect though. Thank you for the mini review and pictures I will be picking one of these up. :)

The way it is tapered toward the end, the further you push it in, the tighter it clamps down. 3.25" maybe - 3.0" would be too short. You have to have some of the knife hanging out to be able to take your two fingers and pull it out. I would never be afraid of losing my knife out of it - unless I was performing physically demanding work, etc. - much more secure than most pockets + it frees up a pocket. :)

I usually carry two slipjoints to work. The one in my LF pocket is normally the one I use the most and it just goes in the bottom of my pocket. I have my car keys on a dangler in that pocket so it is normally unabused. The slippie in my RF is reserved for any food work. Cutting a sandwhich, peeling an apple or orange, etc. It goes in a small leather pocket sheath that I received years ago with the purchase of a Buck 301. It goes in the sheath as I carry an aluminum front pocket wallet and don't want it banging around my pocket with that. I have a coin pocket in my docker slacks that I normally carry a peanut in with my change, I don't always carry the peanut.

On the weekends, my user slippie goes in a belt sheath.

There's a sheath maker in north Texas who makes at least two sizes of these, one for the Case Jumbo Trapper size and one for a Trapper size. He mostly does gun leather though so I highly doubt he's a sponsor. Feel free to reach out if you want more info. I don't have any of his horizontal ones, but I do have a vertical and 45 degree one, as well as some good gun leather from him.
