That's a good idea. Does anyone know the Wal-Mart stock number of the Native?

I'd have to check my receipt.

I did read in another Wal-Mart thread in this forum that these are test-market stores for now. Not sure in what states. I'm in NE Ohio.

It is number 60 in the WM knife case.

I checked walmart.com and found four Delicas, but no Native. No great shakes in pricing, though: $48.77 for a PE FRN VG-10 model.

Good, that's helpful, thanks. I'll look for it.

Does someone have a barcode number for the Native off of a receipt?

the native is supposed to be B&M only, i see you are in plano, ive yet to find a walmart with them in the area

Okay, I'm really feeling dumb now, but what does brick and morter mean with regard to the Wal-Marts that have the Native to sell? (I'm getting desperate to find a Native)

Here is a photo of the Native my wife got for me at Wal-Mart.

Sorry, I don't have a stock number.

the walmart by my house didnt have them nor had they heard of them last sunday
then tuesday they had them the number of the knife was 60. So they showed up all of a sudden and they were in the cardboard sign already as a ''new item''

i guess 60 is the stock #...........paul

brick and mortar means an actual store, not a website. so only the actual walmart stores have them.

and yeah, no one at any of the stores near me knows anything about it, i keep checking with hopes they get that special new cardboard display

"60" is just the number on the cardboard display that's housed in the case. It's not going to mean anything in relation to the product actually being in the store, other than it's placeholder on the display board. Meaning, if you call a store and ask them if they have "knife number 60" I doubt that's they'll be able to look it up in their system.

The number on my receipt is 071610400400. Price is $39.48.

Hope that helps. If the test marketing is successful, maybe they'll be standard in Wal-Marts across the country.

I'm making up a cool lanyard for mine tonight. :)

(One thing I don't like is how "plasticky" the handle feels. While I typically don't care for plastic handled knives, I understand and appreciate their value. Especially on this knife, huge bang for the buck. It's just that my ZDP Caly Jr. feels so much nicer in comparison....maybe it's me.)

Call the WM store then ask for sporting goods. Then ask them if they have knife #60 in their knife display.

Thanks for the receipt number. I went to two Wal-Marts tonight, and neither of them had a knife numbered 60 in their display cases.

Truth be known, except in cases of dire emergency, I avoid all brick-and-mortars except the grocery store from Thanksgiving till the second week in January.
Good rule to live by...but he needed to buy a knife now...sounds like an emergency to me. :D
