I got a Warning There are two sides to every story

The OP just keeps digging his hole deeper and deeper. The seller had every right to move on. It seems they definitely made the right call. Despite logic and dozens of different opinions, on and on the OP goes. Sometimes you know when folks will be a "problem". Nothing personal, but one more to add to my ignore list.

hmmm, that kinda seems personal. :D

JEEZUS!!!! 4 pages and 80 posts and the OP still doesn't get it.

simply put:

I see knife I want.

I check the sellers feedback, length of time on the forum, membership level, etc. IF that is important to me.

I ask any questions IF I have them.

Seller answers to my satisfaction OR NOT

I post "I'll take it" if the knife is still available. I've just signed a contract to buy that knife. PERIOD

Seller sends payment info

I pay seller

seller ships knife

Wow, Hale gets it too! Seems everybody but the OP has gotten this. Amazing. Good post, Ron.

Tell you what, OP... You post "I'll take it" and add a SINGLE condition of yours, I move on.

At which point you should deal with it, and move on yourself.

PayPal protects the buyer. Your credit card company protects you if it's a scam. Pay via goods and services and there's no issue.

Once you say you'll take it that's the end of discussion. You get the payment info and send payment via goods and services. Seller ships the goods.

I had to read that sh*t a few times to even understand your point. Why didn't you just say, that after you committed to buy the knife, you made a condition. I would have moved on too, just like the seller did.

JFTman,

If you are that cautious, quite honestly, the exchange is not the place for you....... Buy new and save everyone a lot of aggravation.

My sense says a bunch of smart people are sitting back
In silence while a lame arse argument goes ahead

It's easier to decieve the masses than to convince them in the perfect system
Hate relates, and spam is the form of hate in the digital age wears many faces
And safety in numbers.

A guy gets burned and the best reply is
"you should have done Your "homework""

This just further proves your delusional sense of the world around you. You asked for answers, you got them from every person to reply thus far with more on the horizon I'm sure, and you still don't understand how simple this is.

I'm guessing your next move is to create a few more accounts so that you can reply to yourself. Only a troll would do that but I'm guessing that this is your underlying intent of this thread.

But on the other hand.....
You post "I'll Take It"
Then five guys pm the seller and promise more money.
But then the caveat of "Sell to who I want" "Protect from Crazies"
Comes in.

But check that, the person who sounds perfect is the guy who won't turn you lose.
If at the same time he is out to burn You.

That was a rude accusation!
YOU are the one who thought that you could alter the sale!
If only you would have posted "I'll take it IF I get some proof pictures"
The seller could have seen you are more trouble than it's worth to deal with.
You should man up & apologize for causing the Seller undue grief, and for
making up a lame @55 accusation of selling for more $, just because
your "poll" revealed what an anal loser you are...
My .02 cents canadian which is worth about .016 cents U.S.
*more "policies" just what we need...
Maybe you just need a bandaid for where you're hurt...
Gawd, more policies he says...

This guy CANNOT be friggin serious can he??
It seems almost impossible that someone can be THAT dense.
I stand by what I said earlier.........the seller has an excellent 'feel' for people and ran away as fast as he could! I commend him.
