I just ordered a limited edition bk16!

mine came in, caught me off guard because co-worker signed for it, fortunately it only said smkc on box

yeah, I work with sheeple

wow man, that is really nice...looks like a completely different knife...looking forward to it.

I don't think Moose got his at the same place as the rest of us.

Really surprised none of you are going bonkers over the first pic of an actual production model yet.

Moose

I pooped myself. No really I was in the bathroom and I pooped.

May have been a coincidence, can't know for sure. But yes, excited.

I bit the bullet and ordered a 16. Interesting though the 17 is outselling the 16 so far

Mine came in while I was out!!!! And as soon as I opened the box, I knew the peanut butter scales had to get dyed somehow, whether it's spray paint or boiling Rit dye, and the sheath has to be dyed as well, so I'll pick up some Rit dye for that ASAP. As for the knife itself, sharp out of the box :D cut straight through the cardboard sheath without any force of mine, just kinda held the cardboard sheath and let the knife fall in a guided drop.

I will have pictures by Monday, but for now, I gotta get packing for my trip to the Everglades this weekend, maiden trip for both my 2 and 16.

The SMKW knife is my brother's birthday present, easy enough.

There are less BK17's then Bk16's left, but some have speculated there may have been less 17's to begin with. I believe 250 of each was an estimate.

I too would have expected more 16's to be sold, if for no other reason that the limited grind in that model, but here we are. The 17 looks great with that clip point so I can understand why it's no slouch with sales.

Dang that was some fast shipping. Just got mine today but have to run out and take care of some things. Will post up pics later.

In one of the videos EB said they were going to stop stamping the knives, just laser engrave the model number. The stamping looks better to me and certainly will look better on the stripped models.

It was hard waiting for mine seeing as many of you already gotten yours. I left work and now it's worse because I'm sitting home waiting for my knifes! Argh! Freakin out.

The FFG with new coating looks nice. I will have to get a trio of those when they are released.

Got mine!

No new news;

They feel even better than I thought, perfect size and feel for me.

I like the 17 even more than I thought I would.

I love the 16!

17 was sharper than the 16, both still cut paper well.

Sheath is great, handles well on the belt, attaches to my Rush 12 with ease. I don't like the double retention snaps but that is easy enough to take care of.

Overall, and once I can get these out, it's going to be hard to have a diff knife on me...

I'll take some more comparing pics with some other knifes later. To awesome!

I wanted to chime in on the sheath. Top notch and very well made. It's just the perfect package. I'm usually not expecting much with a stock sheath but they really put the work into this one for sure. I have to keep myself from using this knife until the other ones become available. Don't know how that's going to work out. :)

So I know we are all a lil "wowed" by the first run tweeners but are there any new updates on when the production tweeners will be out? Got a lil chubby from the FFG16 Moose is showing off on here

I have no insider knowledge, but if Moose and others have production protos that has to be a good thing.

Also, the hold up with the Machaxen was the sheaths. Well...... we know Kabar has the tweener sheaths (I have one too :D) and the estimated release date was 4/1..... soooo....... Dare I say....... April 1st-ish?!?!?!?
