Is that a modification you made to the blade Daizee? I don't remember doziers being sheepfoot/wharnie/whatever that is. I like it though.

yeah, the Phat Bob ain't a 3" blade, it's a 3" *edge*, which is totally irrelevant. I needed it to be 3" tip-to-handle, so I ground it back and blended it in. Turned into a perfect rigging knife shape, which was going to be its role anyway.

Finally settled into my new place. Torn lately between getting a BK15 or a BK5 for my next BKT. I had a $100 Amazon gift card but I used it on a Seiko 5, bit kits and extender for my LM Wave, and a Slim Black Zippo.

Uhhhh Murph, you should probably get your wifes permission, before you post those kind of pics. But if mine will work, by all means, post away :D

Came across a new level of dumbass today! I was trying to be nice, but low and behold that burned me. AGAIN!

So a guy at work came up to me as soon as I returned from Blade and said he was interested to see what I had left because he wanted to buy one for his dad for fathers day. So I figured since he is a co-worker, pretty nice guy, trying to do something cool for his old man, I told him, sure heres what I got, I'll let you have first dibbs, but let me know ASAP because I want to put these up for sale and dont want to wait around long. I also told him I would give him the best deal I could since I wouldnt have to pay shipping, and i know him Yadda Yadda Yadda. So, a week and a half later, he decides on a one off custom peice. nice knife, smaller full tang warncliff style blade, hollow ground mirror polish premium curly maple handle/red liners hand stiched/tooled sheath. The price on it was $175. which was fair. TRYING to be nice I gave it to him for $120. a lot lower than I wanted to go, but like I said, he was trying to do something cool for his old man, and I can respect that. He seemed happy, he bought it and all is well. right!..........WRONG!

So, today he comes up to me and says, Hey, I showed that knife to my wife and she really likes it, but she said that you overcharged me by about $40. bucks. Amazed, I polietly asked how she come up with that? and his response was. "Oh she knows all about supply and demand and fair pricing because she is a baker and makes cupcakes for people"............Cupcakes?........REALLY! I resisted to temtation to tell him that his wife was probably stupider than he is but instead, (again as polietly as I could) explained to him that when a person finishes a .50 cent cupcake it imediately turns to shit. Then I explained that the knife he purchased was already worth quite a bit more than he paid for it and if he wasnt happy with it I would gladly return his money so I could sell the knife to someone else for a more Todd friendly price. Then I proceeded to ask if his wife has taken 15 years of her life to hone her baking skills and invested over 30k in a building full of tools for the purpose?

The conversation quickly ended then AFTER he called ME a sarcastic A$$hole! Whadda day! cant please them all I guess!

Wow. Cupcakes. Seriously!? I would be appreciative of ANY TM Hunt knife for $120. But I remember that one, it was gorgeous!

I must admit that I laughed at this post though. I'm a jerk, I know. :p

Wow Todd...just wow. I can't even imagine doing something like that to anyone who makes a custom-made item. Now, I love a deal, but agreeing to what was an incredible price and going back and asking for a discount after all was said and done? I'm guessing he spent the night on the couch and was making some stupid crap up to get back in bed with the wifey.

Its funny that you say that Doc. Ive passed by him twice today and called him cupcake both times. He just turns red and shakes his head. I might as well get the joy off pissing him off if he has the luxery of acting like a dumbass!:D

Tell him it's like a high-end-New-York cupcake and not like the crap his wife makes. Of course, at that point, I'd be ready to start swinging. :D

Todd, that is ridiculous! I wonder how she determined it was only worth $80... Did she see some other knives of a similar design? I mean I'd point out that "anything you buy is worth what you pay" and coming back later to ask for a discount only makes you look like a dumbass!

I like calling him cupcake though...

TPE, I laughed at the post too, that got is ridiculous!

Congrats on the new place and shorter commute! I love me some BK15. World's best steak knife (and then some).
