Well, for me it's well beyond 12 AM now. 14:33 actually. But I'll play, good morning to you too
I finally found the remaining stainless bolts and nuts for the neckers I had put in some drawer somewhere. Resized the bolts with a diamond grinding disc, and now my 24 is enjoying his stainless hardware. The 14 already had it for quite a while, but I forgot where I had them... Wanted to put them on the 24 for a couple o' weeks, and now I was finally able to do so.
How's your quest for that Svord coming along, WW?

You won't regret that nor the Opinel. Great stuff for a looooow price. After you've touched up the Opi... be prepared to slice your fingers with it, for sure.
After convexing the edge of the Svord, it'll perform excellent as well. Pretty much on par with 1095. If not maybe even better. Gotta use it more to be certain on that though...

No problem. The Hathcock is a wide ss. If you have smallish hands, it would probably get uncomfortable to shoot.

Nothing wrong with either choice. It's your contest so just go with your gut.
That being said, I'd be all over a Beckerhead contest for some of those micarta scales you make for a 14 or 24. If you feel like you've gotten significantly more out of the Becker subforum, keep it confined to something like that, but if you feel like you have a more general appreciation of the site as a whole, let anyone enter and maybe let them pick from a few sheath options.

I'm looking at uninhabited islands in the pacific that I can run away to and live... I'm thinking do a "Noah's Ark" out there with 3-4 cows, half a dozen chickens, and 5-6 pigs. I could be ok.

whee. at long last the pool cover is off. the water is nice, need less algae but SMELLS good. fresh. should be after feet of rain, and tons of snow/ice melts.

Survive? Depending on local plant, wildlife, size of island, access to freshwater, weather patterns, current mental state and a lot more..... You could very well thrive!
That's about how every other colony/country/nation or what ever got its start in the beginning.

This is probably the biggest issue at this moment LOL! Just too much "ish" going on.
Maternal grandmother is still kicking, amazingly, now 90 years old however is pretty much just a breathing shell
Adoptive-esque Grandma is currently in the hospital 100 miles away with pneumonia and we can't tell which way she is going to end up.
Haven't had any real woods time yet this year so I'm getting restless. At this point I'm just counting days till Erik's gathering(19) and hoping I can still make it!
