I like a snark in a short skirt and a looong jacket!

I still call people smeerlap. I find it funny when I call someone that, then get this look like "I think I'm insulted, but I don't know what you just said so I kind of want to fight you but you do look like you could beat my a$$ so I am just going to walk away confused."

Hahaha, that is hilarious. :D

Granddad has been gone for about 6 years now, thanks for the condolences at this point I'm used to not having him there when I want to talk to him.

You're welcome. I know the feeling too.

I've been contemplating it for a while now but kept thinking I'd lose interest sooner or later. Now, after a year and a half and with 1000 posts just around the corner, the time had come to move on from the username I use for most sites and go with something different. I'll still claim Oregon even though I've now lived outside of the state longer than I spent there growing up. I do like where i live now, its just kind of hard for an Oregon boy to claim New Jersey.

Too bad Nick is still waiting for his name change to go through after almost two months.

Team party at six. You guys are invited. Two beer maximum if you're under ten though.

Happy Father's Day...

I've been swapping out all of the black hardware on my Becker's with the stainless sets I picked up... Sure looks nice...

I'll get some pictures up when I get them all done...

Doc

Deep fried chicken, asparagus, sturgeon, onion rings, lemon shrimp, fresh fruit salad...I'm stuffed!

Sounds good Johnny! Had tacos made with a smoked turkey and chorizo mixture, fresh homemade corn tortillas, avocado, bell peppers, serano chilies, onion, and tomatoes. I've been really wanting Mexican food and this hit the spot.

Now that it's Fathers Day, I finally "get" my Magua to use and love.

Texas Moms be tough & CRAZY!

"A Texas mother's determination to keep her family out of danger drove her to battle an alleged carjacker until he fled from her minivan -- only to be struck by her vehicle as she tried to "stop him so he didn't hurt anybody else," the woman said."

Basically the guy hid in her mini-van & tried to carjack her at knife point. Then made her drive to an ATM but she refused & drove into a telephone pole instead. And then she commenced to whipping his ass & ran him over when he tried to run away. All this with her 2 & 5 year old kids in the car.

I'm not saying she did everything right but nobody can say she ain't tough and a little bit crazy.

do NOT get between mamma bear and the cubs. doesn't everybody know this?

What kind of person waits to carjack a mini-van? Hopefully he learned a valuable lesson during the "behavioral correction" the mom provided him.

I just simplify things and make it a rule not to mug or car-jack anyone :)

Seriously, there had to have been a car seat in the van. What a dirtbag.

"Behavioral correction" I like that!
This happened in Baytown which is near Houston, Harris county I think. I know the dirtbag is going to spend the next 20+ years in prison but what about mom. It'll be interesting to see how the D.A. handles it. I'm willing to bet she won't face any charges. In Dallas she'd get charge with vehicular assault or maybe even attempted murder. Our D.A. has a soft spot for dirtbags. But I think he's about to get indicted so at least there's that. :D

Happy monday, even though it is a piece of crap so far.

Had a good weekend, went to Rockport TX and even though I didn't get to fish I had a good time.

Hope all the dads had a good one yesterday.

Tweener factory micarta is kind of OK, they are mismatched in size like each side is made in separate batches. One side sticks up above the handle and the other is below, no matter how I tightened them they would not line up straight. I just need to sand them down some more to even them out.
Factory micarta for the 9 is awesome and seems to be matched up in size, grind, and color. They are a little thin though, need to make some spacers now.

Sounds like she watched lock stock and two smoking barrels recently. Way to go momma!
