Gus, you'll appreciate this one. I procured a Yuma for a guy in Canada, and he sent me this nice bird and trout knife as a thank you. Super slicey sharp!

I just saw the fellow, mckrob, perusing the cast-iron thread. Maybe he'll stop in here and see the pic of the Grohmann.
 
It is a sweet little knife that I'll be taking with me for trout fishing.
 
Watching the hockey game down at the restaurant. First thing I've noticed, Bruins are some cheating bastids! They cheat so much they remind me of my ex!

Glad you received it okay! The #2 Bird & Trout is a scaled down version of the Grohmann #1 D.H. Russell Canadian Belt Knife, which is a rather iconic blade in these parts and a great little slicer. I'm a big fan of Grohmann blades, I especially like their forged line of kitchen knives. I never drive by the factory in Pictou, NS without stopping in for a visit and emptying my wallet (and indulging in some fish and chips from Murphy's across the street).

Anyone familiar with the Newish Remington Versa Max Shottys ? I want to get a comparison to say the Benelli M4 type

I was having a piece of crap Monday until Matt Tackett emailed me and told me I won his giveaway knife.
I'm stoked!
Can't wait to take that knife out and give it a thourough whoopin'!
Looks like his stuff can definitely handle it.
I've been interested in his work since the gathering at E's.
