WOW, this situation is complete bullsh!t and I am very sad to have to see anyone have to deal with something like this. There is no reason you shouldn't receive your package within a week or so after payment, NO REASON. Congradulations on finally getting your knife, at least one of them. What is the deal with the first one? Is it just going to be a loss? That sucks, those things are not cheap by any means. My only suggestion to you is to do some research on sellers before any money changes hands. I understand giving people the benefit of the doubt, but in the future make people earn your trust rather than waiting for something to happen that causes them to lose it. Anyway, it is awesome that you finally got your knife, I hope you are happy with it and it brings many years of joy.
About friggin time you received an entire knife. Glad you got this one.
You are still at a loss because of a previous purchase from this guy, yes?
The button is shaky, I don't know if it should be that way.
Mingyu, there should be a small spring seated inside of the button. This spring presses against the knife handle and creates tension preventing the button from rattling. It looks like it's present in the picture you got from PVK, but it could be easy to miss while reassembling the knife. If it is there and the button is still shaky you can stretch it out a bit to increase the tension. Ideally the button shouldn't make any noise when you shake the knife, but I've seen a few that did even with the spring. As long as it works I'd consider this a victory.

I thank the Good Lord that I saw this thread! I was just about to pull the trigger on 6, count 'em, six Benchmade Model 3300 Infidel OTF SV from PVK. Their site said they would be in stock 11/7/2009, and I was on my way to order when I happened on this thread. Someone is looking out for me.
My best friend is getting married in March 2010, and he wanted to get his groomsmen a nice gift. Money is no object with him (to an extent, of course), and since he collects knives, too, he wanted to get them knives. He asked me to get them for him (I'm the best man, so I get one, too!) along with some other things I am doing for him in preparation for the wedding. I was literally within minutes of making the purchase.
Mingyu, I am sorry you had this bad experience with this hobby that you obviously love, but I want to thank you for this thread, as it has possibly saved me from a ton of heartache.
I understand things happen, but it's all in how the seller takes care of the customer. If PVK Knives had made you whole, I would be spending over $2400 with them today, because I would have felt comfortable that no matter what problems came about, they would have taken care of it. Instead, they have indicated by the way they treated you that they would not do right by me in the event of a problem.
The benchmade infidel is a good knife, I have one, nice looking and easy to fire.
My experience: 1. the blade play is easy to be big because its design, you can see from my picture, the blade and lock unit are put together by only one small screw, and the gap between two parts caused the blade play up and down when it's locked. The solution is to put something in the gap so there will be little blade play.

2. sometimes it fails to lock when I fire it out or in. To solve this problem is to put the lock spings near one side or the other, depends on the situation.

I hope you enjoy the knife!
Yes, I bought two but only got one. Thanks to the helps I got from here I can at least get one knife. I think this is the best result I can get, the first Scarab is lost forever.
Did this one ship in parts too, or you took it apart for fun?![]()
