I (think I) chipped my Triple Cut, Sterile, Steel Heart today...

Jerry---You're the Best.
And Dewd---you were "high" in the mountains but wacking on a chain??
SCIENCE!!! :D

Great thread

Great post by Jerry.

CHAIN is pretty danged tough. Don't do that unless you have to. ROTFL!

i wouldn't mind being chained up there for a while...

awesome warranty, JB... but it is a good story, maybe you can throw in some extras with the warranty service... bolt cutters with infi blades perhaps, maybe those would even work on the hardened drive-chain...

Cool pics, sucks what happened to your precious....but at least you know what it'll do and what it doesnt like.

Good on ya Jerry, I wouldnt have called it intent to destroy either. You just wanted to make nature more beautiful and accomplished that with ASH in hand.

Nothing says, "I love you" to a Busse knife more than a good beating!!!!

I smell a T-shirt!! Or at least another coffee mug!!

I think that was a viable test and question to answer with a survival knife. You are free and still have a serviceable knife to use. Way to go!

That was what I got out of the post at the beginning also.

Then Jerry chimed in and convinced me that come hell or high water, I WILL GET ME A NMSFNO!

Seriously, I've got several SwampRats and a few Scrapyards, but I never really got the madness over Busse, I thought that it was some cult collaboration to keep prices inflated and I figured that I got just as much knife from the Swamp or Yard.

When a fella steps up and says "I DON'T CARE IF YOU BEAT ON A CHAIN WITH THE DAMN THING, SEND IT IN AND WE WILL TENDERLY RESURRECT IT IN ALL OF ITS NOW CULT STATUS GLORY" I say to myself WOW:eek:

You made me a believer, both Downtown and Jerry, and I will never again be an INFI doubter.

Thought that you longtime Hogs might like to hear that, and especially you Jerry, you just demonstrated that your knives are truly built for tough times, guaranteed beyond compare, and I now believe that I WILL be able to take it with me and the Devil had better watch out when I get there!

Chuck- The newly converted

This thread is the reason I am a INFIaholic.

Add the top notch customer service and you have IMO the best knife company in da world!!!

Thank you so much for the thread DtownDM and for your post Bossman, made my day!!

Now I am off to get my Busses and find me some steel to chop!!;) J/K!!

HOLY HOGS!

This is good stuff:eek::eek:

OINK!

IT's just what I needed....an excuse to drink early:rolleyes::p:D

then I thought to myself: what would I do if some crazy person chained me to a tree out here and all I had was my trusty ole Busse?

They'd have to be crazy to leave your hands untied and your knife in your possession. :p :D

That was my first though. If a crazy person chained you to a tree I dought they would leave you the Busse:p

Thanks for the great pics!

Busse...best warranty on the planet:thumbup:

Wow, great guarantee. SureFire has a similar approach (at least from my experience) and that's one reason I've bought over 100 of their lights in the past few years. I'm at two Busse's now and see myself getting a couple more. Tough product and a no BS guarantee.

WOW. Thanks Jerry, both for the great story and for the offer to fix it. Awesome.

Best knives, warranty, customer service, and knife people in the world. No doubt.

As that signature line reads (I forget whose): Busse: knives you swear by, not at.

That was just a flesh wound.

And then Jerry being Jerry.:cool:

Is there any other knife brand/maker that would step up like this?

Chuck, we'll be having a Chop-In soon, there will plenty of Busse knives there for you to try out. (no chain cutting, though )

That sweet little walk through memory lane, the birth of cool, the birth of Busse philosophy, I am also now converted, I have watched the knife tests and understood implicitly the toughness inherent and also thought well... the scraps and swamps birth out a tough knife at sometimes 1/3 the price with well fashioned warranties but alas alack.............F@#* IT I WILL HAVE A BUSSE.
Long live the trough!
