Beautiful collection. Any thoughts on how long you will hold onto all 3? And I'm not asking from a buying standpoint, I've resigned myself to admire but never purchase an 888 because I would never carry it. Rather, those 3 knives represent a sizable financial investment for the knife hobby. Are you going to carry any of them?

I agree the S110V is by far the most aesthetically pleasing of the 3. While they all have the same quality to me visually they are worlds apart. I find the least appealing one is the Max which is ironic because it is the most desirable. The color of the handle on the M390 at least shows the beautiful milling but finish on the blade and lack of grove is just wrong.

Different shades of bronze on the Max and M390 would have really show cased the design.

Probably a silly question but my google-fu doesn't seem to work well... what are the MSRP's for each version of the 0888? Beauty of a knife for sure!

Interesting new development- my #091 and buddy's #070 have different coating finishes on the frames. His is flat powder black and mine is more of a graphite color.

I took this picture a few minutes ago - showing the distinct difference in the finish on the Maxamet compared to the M390 - at least the examples I have -

I will say that the grey finish appeals to me more than the flat black, but both are exceedingly acceptable . ;^)

Yes these are both m390, and yes both clips are in the darker matte finish

So, the m390s are in 2 different finishes. Has anyone seen the Maxamet in the same 2 finishes? Or is it just in the darker one? I wonder how many have been done each way.

I heard that there were not enough 0888 MAXs to fill original preorders so could it be they had made the MAX scales in advance and then replaced the blades with M390? I wonder just how few Maxamet's there are.
