Back in the day, Sony didn't export turntable cartridges to the US because their designs were all rip offs of Shure's patents. They sold a lot of them in Japan though.

It looks to me that they have ripped off other famous designs as well including those of Chris Reeve in the Tactical section of their site.

Those are somewhat similar but the Izula has been copied exactly.......A complete rip-off:thumbdn:

#1 It's in another country, and even if they reciprocate patents, see rule #2
#2 It costs a metric ton of gold to take something like that to court. It's usually easier to point and laugh.
