Why not one side plain with divot and the other the BK = number.

Also warrior can you try and make some 3 digit numbers?

I would personally prefer the BH # on the right or dress side...so when its in the sheath its ''representing''. Of course that wont work for the left handed folks. I am OK with the divot if its on the opposite side from the writing. I dunno if I will ever use it but it wont bother me.
 
In all honesty, I would like the "BH", and number on both scales. I can do without the divot. I can make one of those in the field.

me too, but folks seem to like the divot LOL

I carry matches, firesteel(s), Bic(s), Cotton/Vaseline Straws, and Fatwood with me....I don't use bowdrills. I honestly have never tried one, but I have seen it done and watched and read on it...I think I could if I had to. But if I ever do I can make a palm board with a divot.

Yeah but then the divot will be right on your palm when chopping. I think it might compromise the comfort of the handle.
 
I think divotless is the way to go. Anyone can add their own divot if they want one that bad.

Perhaps, with the larger blades, but needs testing to be sure.
With the Tweeners I don't chop that much..., so that's not a problem. ;)
Also, I can do without the divot. :)
 
Just put the divot on the scale that goes yours fingers and the BK plus number on the other side.

So we can show our micartas numbers to everybody, the divot wont get in the way of chopping (but i can go without it im a firesteel user).
 
I am very interested in this. Moose, thanks for getting involved and trying to see what we can work out. Let's keep this going!
