If you could only have ONE GEC, which would it be?

A jigged bone #15 with long pull spear main and pen secondary and an end cap. That's my grail knife. Now I only need lots of luck of getting one in the right shape for the right money.

Doing well gentlemen. May your fortunes be on the high side.

In fairness to the elk 15, a top view. The hafting on this one is sensational, love the way it feels in hand. Could be the winner, would be a tough choice.

Tough choice. I love my 77 barlow and my 72s, but if I could absolutely only have one, I think I'd have to go with the smooth oiled bone 74 Mustang. It's a good size, bigger than the 77 but not huge, and I prefer a drop point to a clip point, plus the smooth natural bone looks equally good thrown into the pocket of an old pair of jeans or into the pocket of nice work slacks.

This is an absolute no brainer for me. The 77 Barlow in smooth ivory bone is my choice. It's not necessarily the "perfect" knife. There are some things here and there that I could tweak, but it's got a lot going for it. It's a great all around size. I like the heft and the blade combo. But what this knife really has going for it is the sentimental value. Its been carried more days then not since I got it, and I still feel attached to it to this day(which is more than I can say about the majority of my knives).

As I sit here it would have to be my 81 Stockman, but that will most likely be second guessed in the morning as I leave for work.
A lot of very nice knives on this forum,
A real pleasure to view.

The pattern 14 lick creek Boys knife in antique yellow bone. Why? Because it's the only GEC I got! It's also my go to Everyday knife, unless in certain occasions but 9 out of 10 times I have a knife it's the 14.

Jolipapa,
That is a beautiful knife. I really like those covers.

Of the ones I have or had, believe it or not, I'd stick with my #47 Hayn' Helper in Nifebrite. It's not the sexiest, it's definitely not the most expensive, but it's the one I always go to and use the most.

As for my dream GEC, see my signature.

I'm going with a stock 42 or 65 lockback in African Blackwood/Gabon Ebony. I could be happy with either but naturally prefer both. Heck, if they could make it in O-1 I sure wouldn't complain.

A single bladed #15. Scales of bone or stag I think. And with with the longpull spearpoint blade off course.

The 3,5" folded lenght hits a sweetspot in my hands and pockets.

curiously was there ever a 15 in stag? that wasnt a mod

Tough decision, but it'd have to be this one:

Or.........this one:

See! I said it'd be tough.

Not sure, most likely not. Guess I was kinda picturing my dreamknife.
