If you could only live with one knife brand...

I love my KHHI scourge and american eagle khukri!!! +1 for KHHI ...

But really I'd say spyderco. They would feed my lust for exotic steels and with a variety of lock and deployment types as well as many collaborations with great designers (didn't see that the post said there couldn't be more designers just companies right?!?) I could survive with just spydies but damn that is still not a world I'd like to see 😭

I have good few KHHI products, each and every one of them is awesome.Dependable and trustworthy, tough blades

Discontinued I believe.

But, you can still find them for sale, and, "if" benchmade were the "only" knife brand, one would think they would certainly be recontinued... ;)

I'm just playing devil's advocate though, I read line, and I immediately thought to myself, "really, I could have swore I seen 'em before"... But you are right, they're currently not in production...

No, I get it. I think there was a set floating around on the exchange for a while.

Hell, if any of these where the only knife brand think of all the cools stuff they would have to make to appease us :D

Spyderco without a doubt. Once I had finished reading the title of this thread, I said "Spyderco" out loud to myself.

Why:
- Quality, as I can always rely on the knife being perfect out of the box
- Value, as if anyone else offers 110V on a production basis for under $500
- Function, as they make some of the cuttingest cutting tools one can cut with.
- Variety, as anyone with a budget above $20 can get an -excellent- knife, and you can get utilitarian knives, bushcraft knives, kitchen knives, slip joints, custom maker collaborations, art knives, self-defense knives...
- Warranty, as theirs is fantastic.

I can go on Amazon right now, drop about $100, and have a 110V Manix en route to me. Ergonomics, blade steel and heat treatment, warranty, blade shape and size... All pretty dang ideal. Need a quick gift? Get someone a Tenacious because they've probably never had a good knife before. I got my mom a Spyderco Santoku knife for her birthday, and she can't shut up about it. I stropped it up to a razor edge for Thanksgiving and it was used for everything.

Spyderco is the brand that seems to understand all aspects of knives. No junk, no filler, just quality.

I'd be one of those Spyderco people with every single sprint run of the PM2, every single vintage Centofante C25, and all sorts of other rare and long-discontinued models that would send the sales forums into a frenzy when I post the occasional knife for sale. It wouldn't be such a bad life!

Well, let's see....Benchmade is one of my favorites but, they don't make kitchen knives any more. Can't picture myself with a Spyderco in my pocket for the rest of my life. Cold Steel would work but I am not crazy about most of their models.

I guess KAI or would be my first choice. Maybe Victorinox if claiming KAI is cheating.

Not cheating, it's why I went with "Böker", the company brand, because between the Magnum line, Plus line, Arbolito line, and Tree Brand line, I get a little of everything, from decent cheap work knives, to fixed blades and auto's, to classy traditional and collectors, to kitchen Cutlery and straight razors...

KAI "is" the corporate brand
ZT, Kershaw, and Shun are subsiary "line (extension) Brands"

Only reason I didn't pick a "better" brand was because most of them don't carry anassorted array of traditionals like Böker, and I'd miss the little congress slip joints and trappers too much, whereas most companies who do specialize in traditionals have a limited variety if any in other folders and fixed blades...

Condor - seriously, 100 years of awesome...and they make everything.

Or spyderco because they are the only brand that matters ;)

Or morakniv cause damn i love em

Or opinel cause why not

Or spyderco cause its the only brand that matters

I would probably pick Cold Steel, much as I hate to admit it.

I love my knives made of titanium, high-end steels, and carbon fiber, but that's because I'm a huge knife enthusiast. If I was only stuck to one brand my whole life, I'd probably be more of a "I buy this brand because they work, and I can abuse 'em and buy another." For me, that would be Cold Steel. Useful, but not as aesthetically pleasing as other knives in my collection. Well, I take that back, my Code 4 is an excellent, inexpensive knife.

I'd say Kershaw as a second choice for reasons others have mentioned: kitchen knives.

Hinderer for folders, can't really nail down my fixed blade choice. My favorite camp knife for a while has been a custom by NWA.

Benchmade
I would like a esee also
Buck made me mad when they went overseas

Buck started some new lines overseas and has since brought some of them here but none of the models they produced here ever sent overseas. Benchmade also used overseas production for their red class line.

KAI. Cause they don't drill holes in their blades for no good reason. I do wish they'd find a way to get their hands on the Compression lock though. It's genius.

Spyderco for sure. They have a great attitude about making the knife your own and welcome it. They do wonderful collaborations with lots of unique makers from all over the world. They are not afraid to think and go upside the box. They also don't ignore their lifeblood while doing that. They continuously refresh their mainline; PM2, Manix 2, Yojimbo 2, Delica, Endura, Stretch, etc with new steels, new handles materials, and different colors in the same material.
I have nothing but good things to say about them and they have my respect.

CRK and I would buy some sort of bladeless multi tool.
I think I would be okay if I stopped indulging in this hobby, but I'm not so sure if I could go without my large plain 21. If I were stuck with only CRK I could pick up a mnandi for my gentlemens knife and any one of their fixed blades to add along with my 21 and I would be all set.
