I'll take a battle mistress with that finish FOR SURE!!!.....in two weeks if necessary!

Zero edge convex sounds great. I've never been a fan of the coating, so the uncoated blades sound great. However, I'd like to see the handle finished to the same degree as the CG blades.

I think this kind of offering is of course a mutually agreeable idea.

I'm not sure if "competition grade" is a good name, because then it won't be clear if a "CGFBM" for example is Combat Grade or Competition Grade.

I would definitely like the CG finish. Also, that Jack Hammer looks sweeeeet!!! Nice one boss!!!

Good point. How about UF-user finish?

I voted for Amy-O cheesecake,...

but I think the blades would be pretty darn cool as well. ;)

I think it is a great idea. You see people doing it to their users all the time anyway. Just save them the mess and work. I like the dimples a lot. There is nothing better than an ugly tool. Then you can beat it like you stole it.

I think the "zero convex bevel along the edge" looks to be a HUGE improvement.

I personally don't like coatings and have stripped almost all of my Busse, Scrap Yard and Swamp Rat knives - or will be stripping those not yet stripped. But, I also "finish" my blades. Pits and machine (testing) marks are still pretty freakin' ugly. But, I have to deal with sanding those out now on CG blades anyway.

I would hope that cutting certain steps out of the fabrication process would actually pass on savings to us end consumers and be a win/win deal.

If so, I have to say HECK YEAH.....

But, I would honestly prefer "finished" satin blades at better prices. I am having a hard time with the prices whether Combat Grade or not.
Competition Grade or Combat Grade - they are still unfinished to me and still remain expensive "project" knives that I have to finish. But, the Competition Grade would save the factory some steps and save me some steps. So, again, hopefully this can be a win/win deal that saves me some money.

For the record, I do not like CBT. But, I do like the convex blades like the SJTAC - preferrably without deep machine marks though. They were a bear to sand out.

How cheap can I get a Ruck Kensei uncoated blade without the handle? ;)

.

There would be so much character to a compitition grade blade and handle..the BC knives would be even more unique and individual one of a kind!!! I don't mind flaws as long as you can still get a flawless for admiring /photographing/ collecting. I really really like the dimples/pitting look. So original and good, plus you can send a zerpo edge...thtas an advantage! Cool all around idea! Lets have one of each size range..small, mid and large.

Competition grade. I like that. It will save me money on paint stripper and sanding belts. Bring It!

I'd be in for a few

One concern would be the handle fit and finish, providing thats all good count me in
