If you want to get pissed off

If anyone is interested, the book is Shop Class as Soulcraft: An Inquiry into the Value of Work by Matthew Crawford

its funny but while i was on my LITTLE 3day 2night stint, I noticed that the desire to procure more than i needed really just wasnt there. I didnt want anything but the next thing i needed, it seems as though going a bit backward in progress is a few steps foreward in regards to these moral questions. Maybe people need to go hungry for a bit need to stop wanting the newest mercedes benz black series:D omg beautiful. and reconnect with what is important.

ok, i let Dr Phil pipe in on that one.:D

i think it's kind of sad when people go through life NOT having had one of those epiphanies. For us it was when Kaela was born. She almost died when she was born and had to have open heart surgery when she was 11 months. THAT will put things into perspective for you.

There's a lot to be said for what really matters in this world, even though it is seldom spoken.

"graying but in harness" What a great damn line. And it's the truth!

Excellent line! I agree that we should all take a look at our wants and needs and step back from the wants more often. To get an idea of needs, just go through a power outage for an uncomfortable amount of time. It puts things in perspective.

I know quite a many who do the same things everyday and repeat the same poor choices tell they die and never take advantage of that moment and put forth the effort to look inward and push through what ever struggle is presented to evolve into something far greater.
Im sure an experience like that would be quite the struggle.

You posted this as I was composing my power outage post. You win in the perspective category. :)

and lifetime after lifetime they will continue to struggle w/ the same issues. Until they learn the lesson their soul will not evolve. death isn't an end to the struggle if you haven't learned the lesson.

That was something i learned of self importance during that survival contest,
i found during my shelter building [which was my highest priority at that point] that i felt hungry, so what did i do... i went off searching for food.
half way into my hunt for food i realized what i had done was a huge mistake, i had abandoned my highest priority for a desire that apon further examination was the very least important to me and my situation.. comparing that to my life i now try to take a more priority mind look at everyday.

do you have your hand on Budda's belly?:D

What does it say about anti-marijuanna laws, when every anti-weed campaign they came up with was an obvious lie? They used to say it made you a murderer and rapist, then it caused brain damage, caused you to steal your mom's VCR to feed your addiction, I even saw an add that had a "normal" brain wave, and then "your brain on weed" which was a flat line. . . How about a realistic one showing people sitting around and watching a movie while wolfing down snacks. . .

when they depend so heavily on misinformation to maintain their BS, seems they should just forget about it and spend those millions of tax dollars on something more productive.

This is the bullshit that politics bring to the war on drugs, the US and Mexico need to figure this shit out.

That avatar again freakin the shit out of me. I REPENT IREPENT JEEEZZ
:D
I agree fully the misinformation is a waste of money and is not needed, people are capable of understanding better than the bs they are presented on a daily basis. I hate to bring this here but i deal with this personally on a daily basis so it is something that is realitive to me. The whole steriods thing is BULLSHIT, if your not informed dont take it from me i can give you a boat load of information that blows the rational that steriods make you into raging baby raping killers out of the water
. its sad how people twist thing such as that into being something completely different than truely is, which then affects the lives of those invovled in that life style in a very very negative way.

The solution is a wall.

A very very large wall on our side of the border with Mexico. A wall backed up by border partol and the national guards of the bordering states.

It also creates jobs for thousands of unemployed citizens.

Steroids can give you a nice zipper chest. Ask Ahnold.

The main thing wrong with the "war on drugs" is the focus. They have spent most of their time trying to demonize a plant that is naturally occurring. . . That's just stupid.

The war on drugs is just as stupid and worthless as prohibition. And like Prohibition, the only result is increased crime.

Or american company owners could stop employing aliens. That would help as well.:D

Steriods have never been directly linked to major heart complication's. Although the higher levels of cholesterol have.

The number 1 reason to stop the drug war IMO(or at least try a new approach): IT HASN'T WORKED AT ALL. Sorry for the caps lol

For real though..
