I'm not responsible if something goes wrong ... insurance, pay pal...

It all boils down to integrity. You have it or you don't.
Dishonesty is actually a character flaw that no one should be proud enough to openly flaunt. Especially in a public forum.

Thanks for making my day, Karda! I'm pretty certain, that ever since I've been a member here, that you've had that Great White Shark" (lurking about), as your avatar...& when you saw that menacing looking Great White, attached to one of your posts (Reply With Quote), you knew that you probably crossed over that line & were in some type of trouble. :D

This new avatar, is honestly going to take awhile to get used to. I had to look at it closely about 3 times, before I finally figured out exactly what I think it is: Bob Marley, playing a violin, really fast? Whatever it is, I'm liking this new, softer side that you are showing here. ;)

I would like to add: personally, I am very thankful for all of the positive transactions I've been fortunate to have as a direct result of this awesome forum. I have learned so much helpful information about this wonderful hobby, acquired so many awesome knives & have been fortunate to meet so many super cool member's!

Thank you, & Happy Thanksgiving!

Very true. And I can sell a dog poop pumpkin pie, calling it a super knife tuning fork. With paypal friends, completely acceptable!

Craytab - you and I have had some good discussion here but this is a worthless analogy and obviously not what Noodle is referring to.

Woops I swear I am not posting here anymore :p

Go Eagles!

That's awesome! Now, I can see your avatar, crystal clear, & it's much better that I had imagined...& it fits your personality (I think), perfectly!

Maybe we can also try & persuade Rev Devil, to change his- a new softer, less threatening, avatar? :D

Oh come on! It made more sense than to be worthless:confused::D

We did win though......!

But wait, How can we tell who has integrity? I know, I know, feedback and what not, but Who knows when those who once had integrity will for go it? Paypal goods adds a little bit of security does it not?

And I am seriously going to miss the shark.....

Listing it as insured and not insuring it is intentional fraud.

But its thanksgiving day so im out. Happy thanksgiving to all! Have fun. Eat too much. Drink just enough. And take a minute to actually be thankful for what really matters most. Family and friends!

As it's Black Friday, I will point out that an act has to be intentional to be "intentional." As for me, I have unintentionally done things I didn't intend to do, but I suppose that's just me - imperfect clay.

. . . In the US i believe, as i have stated, that the seller is responsible to get the buyer their item/s. . . .

IF that is the deal OR IF the agreement is silent on where the risk of loss in shipment rests AND the deal is for delivery to a specific address THEN the risk, by default, is on the seller. If you ship "General Delivery, Postmaster, Seattle, WA," is risk of loss is not automatically on the shipper.

PayPal has its own rules that we agree to by using it as a seller or as a buyer.

I have copy/pasted the below information straight from paypal. There are butterfly knives, auto knives, knucks, and other items sold using paypal here and other places all the time. This is not allowed according to paypal yet lots of people still do it and there is no rules against it per Bladeforums rules.

PayPal prohibits transactions for certain hand weapons or knives that may be illegal or restricted in some jurisdictions.

Weapons – PayPal generally prohibits transactions for these types of weapons:
Nunchaku.
Brass or other metal knuckles.
Leaded canes, staffs, crutches, or sticks.
Zip guns, shurikens or throwing stars.
Hand grenades or metal replica hand grenades.
Billyclubs or batons, sandclubs, sandbags, or slungshots (also known as saps or blackjacks).
For other hand weapons, sellers must ensure the weapon is lawful in both the buyer's and seller's jurisdiction before completing the sale.

Knives – PayPal generally prohibits transactions for switchblade knives and disguised knives. A switchblade is any knife resembling a pocketknife with a blade that can be released automatically or by use of a trigger. Other names for switchblades include spring-blade knives, snap-blade knives, gravity knives, and butterfly knives.

A disguised knife is a knife designed to look like a harmless item. Examples of disguised knives include belt buckle knives, cane swords, shobi-zue, lipstick case knives, air gauge knives, and writing pen knives.

Other Related Items – PayPal prohibits transactions for destructive devices and the sale of military equipment or supplies that violate laws or regulations in the buyer's or seller's jurisdiction.

Under federal law, shipping a switchblade over state lines is a felony with very narrow exceptions. An illegally shipped switchblade in contraband- not legally possessed.

knifedragon, I see that you're in Baltimore MD. There are several great dealers around, most with what you are after. If you want to take a short trip, America Manor House Cutlery is on Frankford AVE, not the best neighborhood but not Cherry Hill either. I've never been to his shop but I have passed it a few times I believe. I've bought and traded with him at gun and knife shows. Mainly tactical knives.

A little bit further out, Sean at Edgeworks in Frederick MD is another great dealer. He is in downtown Frederick, and I just did a huge trade with him on Saturday. He has a wide selection of kitchen, tactical, edc, hunting and slipjoint knives. Lights, packs and bushcraft gear too. Great staff.

If you're going downy ocean, Willey Knives in Greenwood DE right off Rte 13 north of Salisbury is another great retail spot. They have a more diverse selection of slipjoints, but offer mainly pocket knives and kitchen knives. Great staff.

A bit further out, is Country Knives in Lancaster PA. They have a very good selection, their prices are usually MSRP or higher, but they are good people. If they have something I know is sold out or out of production, I'll get it. Still a good shop.

I try to swing by these stores at least once a year, I'd like to visit America Cutlery on Frankford once before the holidays. Just a thought.
