I'm so sick of the double standard!!!

KH has also never badgered the hell out of me about one of MY for sale threads. Saying that he's a noob and needs a great deal to get to try a Busse. Only to get me to sell at cost, losing shipping expense I might add, to relist it (along with at least 20-40 other newly acquired Busses) for a 40% profit over what I sold it to him for!

These practices have no place in the Busse community on bladeforums. And for these reasons, one dealer has none of my respect nor will he ever get any of my business. :thumbdn:

Ah the lowballing dealer. Ive had the same experience as have many others Im sure. I agree that his practices are not doing anything for his reputation.

That's pretty messed up. Can't say I'm shocked, but still.

As for the OP, I agree 100%. The dealers need to go to the dealer section regardless of what they're selling. You don't see dealers posting in the main individual forum or even the Buck FS forum. On that note, the Craftsman members selling their stuff need to butt out of the individual forums as well now that the makers market has been merged with the exchange. The individual forums should be for actual individuals.

As for the links in every thread that spam the search results, it's beyond me why a dealer wouldn't just drop the 5 or 10 bucks a month on a website and just link to that. Heck, a free website with a simple list and pics would make more sense than the mess they're making of the exchange.

Flatsman,
If they would stay in their section, guys like you would have more time to do their research, and make a decision to buy or not to buy. It is not cool that that they are dominating and manipulating the market. This is still a knife enthusiast forum, not a dealers forum.
If I pay a dealers fee, can I post wherever I want to also?
What is a point of "dealer section" if they are not there? I have not seen any "private" sellers selling in a dealer section, no matter what brand they sell.

Hey man, I don't think that's right to post someone's address on the forum.

It is the business address as far as I know. I did not post the name. If I am wrong, mods please accept my apology, and delete it if you find necessary.

Does anybody recognize this as a dealer's address?
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Thanks.

NOT cool to post other people's personal info on a publicly accessible forum without permission...

Am I allowed to post e-mail correspondence with the dealer in question?

That is something that would be useful in the GB&U area if a dispute arose. It is best to keep that type of info where it belongs. Which isn't here.

Am I allowed to post e-mail correspondence with the dealer in question?

Why? My suggestion is if you've got a good deal, then go for it. If not then walk away. If you're having issues with someone or don't know whether to trust them, then it belongs in the GB&U.

Knife Hunter is a great guy to deal with, plus he's never contacted me after I've posted that I like a knife saying; 1) He knows who has it. 2) He'll contact the owner for me but it won't be cheap. 3) Let him know if I'm interested, but then follow-up 3 times in one day. My resoponse, "I only said I like the knife, dude."

The funny thing is, that dealer is here, I know has read this thread, and yet how long has it been and there has been essentially no change from him with his tactics? I would be more than shocked if he changed his ways now.

Isheldon, and Kiah,
thank you for your respond. I'll do that if needed.
It is not about me having issues with him. It is about his bad business practice that has no place in "private seller" section. He is a dealer.

Hmmm... Maybe a Dealer sub forum just for Busse-kin??? Seems like this would solve some problems.

That being said. I'm a capitalist. If someone turns a buck or two on a knife... good for him. Buyers are not victims, they agreed to the price they paid. Still, pretty hard to get rich being a knife dealer. But I won't chastise a man for trying. :)

I don't know what Jerry would say about all this... but I'll bet it would involve the words

"LET'S DRINK"!

oh fur $hit sakes, now i have to start drinking again, you gril's start playing nice or ill lock this down!

.

better yet i'll buy jerry a fifth and ask him to make a "barbie" model that comes complete with midol!

I am really getting tired of every other thread turning into a bitch session. Oh Crap, I just perpetuated.

I posted a link to a dealers thread trying to help someone find a knife they wanted, he asked where to get one and i showed him... i didn't know that was "wrong". I'm new, sorry.

I've been noticing things going back down hill again. I hope this trend ends soon, its not fun at all. :(

Nope you are not wrong. Don't you worry about it. Any issues that people are discussing here has nothing to do with you at all. This is usually a good forum where people are usually positive. I hope you are enjoying your beautiful knife!
Dan
