I'm so sick of the double standard!!!

I have a solution. Let's start lowballing all the dealers. Tell them their knife is only worth x and if they don't sell to you for that price, you hope they choke on all the knifes they hoarding. They in turn will get their feelings hurt and ask for a dealers only sub forum and they can trade among themselves. Wow, this thread is getting out there.

You are taking it "out there" by thinking this thread is about all dealers.

I am sorry, I just want everybody treated the same.

I think that the problem is that all dealers aren't behaving the same way. I would have kept my gripes quiet but hearing that newbies coming here looking for their first Busse are getting "immediately hit up by dealers pushing their inflated knives" rubbed me the wrong way.

Newbie or old hat. If you are reckless with your money and don't do you own research and make an emotional purchase then you take your chances for overpaying. A fool and his money can be parted. Whether it's over paying for a knife or a car. We don't have to condone practices of certain individuals, but what happened to being responsible for ones own actions?

You seem to be in the dark. Really.

1. You don't appear to be familiar with who we are talking about.
2. "OMG ALL DEALERS ARE EVIL" doesn't apply, two dealers have received a lot of praise in this thread, and have continued to do so... look a couple of posts below yours.

I know exactly who is being talked about. He has posted in this thread.

And the talk of not allowing dealers to post in the busse sale section IS talking about ALL dealers. Which is the part I was talking about, and the only part I care about.

Don't you get though, or see though that it's the double standard and shady practices that prevent this? A guy comes on asking for a general price and he immediately gets an email from a dealer with tons of knives. "Wow! This guy has lots of knives that I can't seem to find anywhere because I just stumbled upon Busse and their unique sales approach..." So then, someone suggests he searches the exchange and he gets two pages of (the same) dealer's threads. THEN!! In going back even further, he finds other individuals threads with the prices removed (which is a separate issue entirely). So... where is this competent research supposed to occur amidst all the BS one encounters when Busse knife shopping?

Maybe Liu Kang should move on to selling really nice pens... there... I said it.

Just to make it clear again, the "dealers" that are being referred to in this thread are the people BladeForums require the volume sellers to be named. (and in no way is this statement meant as a disrespect to BF.com)

The only 2 True Dealers, Authorized and Affiliated by/with Busse Combat Knife Co. are Idahoskunk and thatmguy (both outstanding guys)

I think it is very important to make that clear to all the new people that might be reading this thread.

The only thing the BladeForum named dealers have in common with Busse Co. is that they buy from them just like anyone else can.

I have no horse in this race. I buy and sell on my own terms. Is LK breaking rules of this forum? If so are the moderators not doing their job? Or do you give undue credit as to the impact of one dealer?

I dont know. Are dealers supposed to be allowed to sell in individual sections? Does it happen in other individual sections? Are dealers allowed to link to their sale threads within general discussion? Is linking to and placing key words for every available knife and for sale thread you have within each and every thread allowed?

I'm pretty sure the answers are; No, No, No, and No... but it happens. Hence the double standard.

I guess I'm done. I hate beating a dead horse or stating the same simple opinion/gripe a million times... it comes across as whining. Clearly a lot of people feel the same way I do.

Maybe a moderator can chime in and address the question about rules being broken then we can all be on the same page?

The Bossman said, "Let there be full access"...and it was done.

I agree with Mike G. If there are dealers who come across a Busse knife through a trade or collection purchase, they should be allowed to post it in the Busse Exchange area as well.

By separating the Busse Knife group into its own exchange forum, it sends the message that that is the place to go in order to buy a Busse Kin blade. So anyone, individual or dealer, who is selling one, should have access to this venue.

For the record, once again, we only have two dealers. One (ThatMguy) is restricted to a couple of local gun shows only, and the other (Idaho Skunk) runs our company store and is restricted from selling anything other than his personal knives on Bladeforums. We currently only have these two set up as Busse dealers.

Liu Kang pays the same amount as everyone else and then marks up from there. The list of folks who buy our knives at the regular price and then resell them for a profit down the road is endless.

Hope this helps,

Jerry :D

...As for the other questions, I believe that a KnifeEx Mod or Super Mod could answer them better than myself.

I dont have a problem with dealers selling knives for more then they purchased them for. No one says you have to buy them. Some do spend the money to go to the very few shows that Busse goes to. I do have a problem when doing a search on a certain Busse knife and search comes back with the same dealer(s) taken up more then 50% of the search results.

Whaa Whaaa Whaaaaa, All I hear is bitching and moaning, I am new to busse's and knives in general, but it seems like there are alot of people upset over someone making a profit on selling a knife, getting lowballed by dealers....Duh thats their job, if their not going to make a profit why would they buy it. Atleast dealers, and I am sure especially the dealer that everyone is reffering to...although i have never purchased from him, would probably reverse a transaction with no questions asked if the customer was not happy. Unlike my first purchase on the forums from a gold member, who after I received my knife and I complained told me just send it in to busse and when I told him to reverse the deal, told me to go screw myself and blamed it on another dealer he purchased th knife from. I was once told it is not rape if you agree on a price, it goes both ways. I understand the dealer posts mess with the search results, but I like all the links in the dealer threads, first their great pics, and it gives me Ideas as to what kinds of knives are out there.

I found a knife from a dealer that I was looking for, granted that I could have got a better deal if I waited.

It a two edged sword, there is a good and a bad like most things in life.

I don't want to pluck the dealers from the indiv. section. I'm not trying to stop a guy from making a buck (or more) on knives. I would just like to see the rules upheld more equally for everyone, or at least some of the issues inherent within them addressed. Hey... maybe if they were all more like Knife Hunter, fewer of these threads would pop up. Is that my fault? No. Now... does anyone know where I can score a Desert Jack? :D

At the end you bought the NMSFNOLE? or you didn't had a good deal!?
