Haha, sorry zombie but that was my first ever Busse knife, and it's still one of my favorites, so I plan to hold onto that one.
 
I'm bringing my Colt M4 and Glock 21. More blades than anything. Easier to clean a knife than a carbine. What are you bringing breav? I am also bringing several throwing knives....good drinking games.

Both are welcome. I have never done any long range shooting at my land, but I'm sure we can find a place that would work for decent range. I'll definitely bring a handgun or two, I may bring an AR.
 
Saturday bump. Plenty of room for more people to come enjoy knives and good company.
 
I second that zmbhntr. I myself am ready for some time away from reality. So about how many do we have so far?
 
I'm thinking about it. 5 hrs is not bad. Is this a Sat/Sun thing? I have lots of users to play with. I can bring food/supplies, but you'll have to teach me camp cooking.

Who cleans a Glock? That's why I have one. :D:rolleyes:

I think the count on the first page is still fairly accurate, but I'll update it in the next couple of days. I may start a group email for everybody interested just to make communication a little easier. Are people okay with that?

That's great to hear! I was planning on arriving Friday and spending two nights and then leaving Sunday, but I could probably make it work to spend Sunday night as well. What works best for you?

In regards to camp cooking, it can be as elaborate or as simple as you want, nothing to worry about. I usually go simple and cook pasta or hotdogs or whatever. If we can talk willic into cooking chili topped with jalapeño cornbread it would be fantastic!
 
Sure zmbhntr email away. I may still have yours from prior emails. I too am doing Fri and Sat night then leaving Sunday. ...gotta work Monday. It'll take me about 4 hrs or so to get there and I plan to leave early Friday am.
Hey resin...you have to come too dude. I agree, I don't clean my Glock too much...but it is suppressed, so blow-back sadly increases gunk-up.
 
Gettin closer guys. As of now I don't have anyone tagging along. I don't plan to bring lazyotter....lol....thanks for the heads up guys...you know who you are. But if there is another member in proximity of SE Virginia I'd be willing to share space. Although, you can't mind Marlboro smoke and Hank Williams Sr. and I'll provide the southern style Homemade Sweet Tea.
 
I've perfected my hammock gear for the temps there and I'm starting to collect my pack food. The guns are always ready and the tg crusader and Moabolo are definitely ready
 
I've considered stripping and putting a force patina on my trash1 just in honor of the weekend... Trash1 hamon anyone?

Traditionally I wouldn't strip Sr101 but the mustard does the coolest tricks in Sr101, plus with my trash1 being tan with tan kydex the patina will actually go with it. Ideas?
 
I'll send out a group email to the people interested thus far on Thursday, so that we can coordinate a little bit easier. Does everyone plan on arriving Friday?

That would be pretty sweet. I have seen pics online of the mustard patina, but I have never seen how it looks in person and I would like to.
