I'll send out a group email to the people interested thus far on Thursday, so that we can coordinate a little bit easier. Does everyone plan on arriving Friday?

Since I will be taking Friday off, if Thursday also works that would give me 2 full days ( Fri & Sat ) before the drive home on Sunday. I would likely arrive late afternoon on Thursday to make it seem like I am working that day :-)

But, if that is not good, then I will plan to leave the Philadelphia area Friday morning for the drive down.

If there is anyone in the Philly area ( or who can get to the Philly/Delaware area) and needs a drive, let me know.

Unfortunately, the group email didn't work out quite as planned. I thought I could get everyone's email addresses through BF and then send out a group email, but I can only send email direct to individual members through BF, and only to individual members that have enabled that feature in their settings. I'm still happy to get a group email going, so for those interested send me a PM with your email and I'll be happy to start a group email and send everyone my cell phone number as well. In regards to cell phones, I do have intermittent cellular service on my land with AT&T, my wife has intermittent service with Verizon, but from what I hear U.S. Cellular has excellent coverage where my land is.

We are only 4 weeks out now! Below is the most up to date info that I have, does everybody still fall into the same category that they currently are? Once we firm up the list of people attending we should decide if we want to have group meals or handle it individually.

People that are attending:
Zmbhntr
breavis5964
UDDwaine
zombiesassassin
williec

Tentative list:
ptman2000
rcb2000
legaleagle
Pumpkin 40
rwn2000
reinguy

As much as I would love to, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get there Thursday. Let me see what I can do with my schedule.

Still down, can't beat car camping. I'm down for whatever food wise. I have a biolite with kettle and will be using it for the occasional meal.

Does the Wal-Mart have a grocery area or is it a small one?

I'm in boys, confirmed.
I have to work Friday, so I won't be down till Saturday morning or afternoon.
I'll PM you Zmbhntr so I can get added to the email list.
Can't wait!

That is fantastic! It looks like there should be at least 6 of us, it should be a blast. Now I just hope we have some good weather.

I've perfected my hammock gear for the temps there and I'm starting to collect my pack food. The guns are always ready and the tg crusader and Moabolo are definitely ready
Interested to hear about your setup Breavis, I'm going to try out my hammock/tarp for this trip, wondering if I should grab a mosquito net as well.
The only tent I have is an eight person, with two kids and the wife it's pretty ideal, not so much for one person. I may just throw it in the car just in case though.

I'm bringing a HUGE tarp that is from a double wide modular home. Was thinking about setting up a drinkin/card playin/knife showin shack? Up to yall. I do like to keep things simple....but I figured it might be fun. Trying to grab a few drums that were cut from this big tree in the neighborhood, be good for throwing knives at, and keeping drinks upright. I'd love to snag a KDSH before the trip to toss at stuff.

I know a guy....

Yes...yes you do....got me on that res.

Guy has a sniper hawk at a great price.... I'll have a bs sog hawk that I throw all the time (zombie you are welcome to throw whenever we are there). I'll also have my new Martin mce2 and a RMJ krestel feather hawk that may see use.

I have a full eno rig with bug net, underquilt, top quilt, 30° sleeping bag with bed pad, Profly tarp but I'll be buying a Hennessey hex just for the trip.

I stayed in it last night down to 27° so I think I'll be good

Nice. I already had a camping hammock, picked up a 10x10 tarp from Etowah (used to supply tarps that BushcraftUSA sold), and plan on making an under quilt. At those temps I can't imagine mosquitos would be bad, but I might bring a net just in case.

The bug net actually does wonders for the breeze, it's certainly not needed but it helps. At 27 every little bit helps, I've been watching Shug Emerys videos online and he gets me pumped up about cold weather camping especially in the hammock.

I was planning on heading out to the WV land this weekend since I have not been in months, but it sounds like it's going to snow out there on Saturday so I may not go afterall. A couple of weeks ago it was in the 70's out there from wheat I hear, so it's next to impossible to know what it will be like on the weekend of the camping trip.

Cool, I'll check them out. Interested to see your set up, learn a few things

I'm down bad weather or not,, need to get out. Should be a blast

Me too.....I don't care how cold it is....just hope it isn't raining on us. After all, being away from the wife, I'll enjoy it no matter what kind of weather we have. It could be 30 below and ice falling from the sky, I'd have more fun than being home.

Oh the camping trip is definitely on for the weekend of the 30th be it rain, shine, or whatever, I'm just being a bit lazy for this particular upcoming weekend. What I should really do is put my Hummer back together and fabricate a new platform for my roof top tent since I love that thing, but that may be a bit too much to get done before the camping trip.
