Heat treat follows grinding, but I did hear that the 4.1s were going to get the "Nathan" 3V heat treat.

Edit: I just checked, Ellie posted that information (that the 4.1 are intended to be the first model to get the new Nathan 3V heat treat) on the GSO 4.7 thread in post #626.

Thank you! My question was based off the post from Ellie in the GSO 4.7 thread and I guess I was looking for a confirmation on the confirmation now that we physically see the blanks. I didn't know if what was said in the 4.7 thread changed since it was posted or not. I'm not obsessing at all :D
 
all these pics and new info are making the choice between a 4.7 and 4.1 so much more difficult. i dont need both, and i only kind of want both, so i guess its going to come down to what i can get my hands on. but im pretty sure if i end up getting a 4.7 that ill surely end up with a 4.1.

That's really cool Silver Needle. I like the look of the new spec 4.1 and the handle looks great and comfy.
 
I think I'll have to figure out a way to include knife prices into all of my future bids. Maybe I can slip it into the materials cost!
