Information from Instagram and Facebook!

Lol. I doubt it, especially since she sends some folks here to look for info. I like the way GT's vid shows the 5.1, kind of like it's the last thing standing after a tornado of its own making :)

Excellent story!

I reckon all those people who have whinged and whined about waiting for their knife need to read it.

Very cool, Ellie. More publicity! Better watch out! :)

I know! We were pretty hesitant. For one thing, it was weird that they weren't asking for a free knife to review (It is crazy how many of those requests we get). Guy was very clear that we don't normally advertise. The author did a good job by mentioning that we tend to be sold out and forewarning folks that they are hard to get a hold of.

Wait till the follow up article

Actually, I think these guys are a bit different. We were told that even if they did get sent a knife for review they don't keep it. They either send it back or use it for a giveaway of some sort. That is why we were open to talking with him. I believe him when he says they want to be an impartial voice in the industry. My only concern is that we have seen people who started out impartial but over time they can lose their way. After talking with the author a bit, I don't think that will happen to the Knife News crew. Though, only time will tell.

^ Hey that's pretty cool Riz! Nice cameo appearance :)

Very cool Ellie! He was kind to not ask for a free hat ;)

I can't even joke about this after reading the article. The thought of hearing "No knife for you!" is enough to give me nightmares :D

As noted in the article, please tell Guy that the 5.1 I recently received is by far the sharpest knife I have ever held. How he gets such an edge on these blades is beyond me. I have received dozens of blades from multiple shops and not a one has come close to this. The least impressive was a "hand made" knife that came so dull it wouldn't cut paper. I have horror stories of blades the have disappointed out of the box, but Survive is not on the list.

Haven't read the article, but I will echo Vernal. The edge work on my 5.1 is second to none. Period. One of the VERY few knives I've gotten that I didn't feel compelled to sharpen before I even used it.

It wasnt a review. I am attending some training that Recoil Magazine is doing an article on. I asked the guy if he has heard of Survive! He said no. I changed that. Let him take the 5.1 out for a spin while we were running an exercise. He took some pics and said he is gping to throw a few more up.

Can we all make a pact to stop telling other people about SURVIVE!?

When my funds regenerate and the secret steel of the 4.7 is revealed I don't need MORE competition on Mondays :D

Haha! Sorry Silver! Recoil Mag instagram has 162K followers!
