Introducing the Zero Tolerance 0801

Definitely keeping my eye on this one. Truthfully though, I'm not a huge fan of elmax, I understand why zt uses it (toughness), but I've been spoiled lately with super high edge retention steels like m390, cts-204p, and cpm-m4 which are more appropriate for my uses. This design with a nice thin slicey grind in something like m390 (or equivalent) would be absolutely spectacular.

Just saw this go up... Not my vid, but one from a paid dealer here.

Best new ZT design yet, F & F should be great! love the choice of materials used (Ti and Elmax and bearing system) I will def be picking one up !!! great alternative to the southard flipper!

That is a beautiful knife. The blade spine to handle transition, the handle shape, the flipper, the clip, the lock, the lack of thumb studs... All beautiful. The only things I would change is an extra .5" of blade length, and push the grind hight up a bit (the spine shape is fine), but that's nitpicking. Amazing knife.

What concerns me: bearings running directly on the titanium of the handle scales. When you look at the Spyderco Southard for example, they drop a flat steel washer between Ti scale and bearing to reduce the wear of the bearing balls on the softer titanium.

I wouldnt worry about it too much. My 0560 and countless IKBS knives made by hundreds of custom makers pretty much quashed any fears of bearings wearing out titanium.

Too much bling for me, but waaaaaay too much bling for the ZT line in my opinion.

The pictures are indeed bright and shiny, but the description says it will be bead blasted, which will make it a dull gray and not shiny at all.

Regular production piece here guys.

The 560 was production yet very hard to get for at least six months. Cryo fared the same IIRC. For anyone who wants one right away, preordering is the way to go
