I don't know what I'd do with a lathe & plaster roofing-type hammer but that particular one sure is a prize. There's virtually no wear on the checkered face or the blade! And we all know the original owner for sure has been 'pushing up daisies' for quite some time.

Thank you for that Bob. Finest example I have ever seen.
I need to pay more attention. I have to wonder if the claim of a oval head is indeed new at that time? It's a evolution that survives in today's drywall hammers and little doubt for the same reasons.
