That's a laminated bit: old axe probably 1920s or before.
Same with this one:

Got a Plumb Puget Sound (i think) and an unmarked carpenter's hatchet last weekend.
I have an AMES double bit handle but it won't fit; the PS will almost slide past the shoulder.
Thanks, guys.
Pegs, I probably paid too much for the hatchet ($30) but I thought it was pretty unique.
Thanks for the tip on Tennessee Hickory. I will check them out.

Picked up a DB with no stamp today and a True Temper Red Warrior Kelly Works axe, drawknife and chisel yesterday.
I think the handle on the Red Warrior is salvageable but not the DB.
thanks for looking
randy
Sweet handle on that keen kutter.
That drawknife looks like a Witherby ive got. Any markings on it?
The guy had 3 drawknives and I picked this one since it had the straightest edge. I know this thing is HARD, a file barely touched it.
They're both in pretty good shape. You must live in the happy hunting grounds for axes.
Wow! Lots of great stuff here.
I'm currently in MA, which is not ME in terms of old axes, but still alot better than Korea
I have this unmarked Jersey pattern at 4 lbs 4 oz. as well as a couple of lighter Kelly Perfect Jerseys. This unmarked one will be the next one I hang.
