First of all, I already stood up for Dan in another thread. Now to my point. I paid very close to what you're asking for your SS AD and was happy to do it. :p
 
While I don't know Dan well enough to consider him a close friend, I have no problem with him. :thumbup: I have no problem with anyone engaging in the business of flipping knives, either – especially anyone who has paid to be a dealer, here.

I haven't noticed any attacks on him, but I do skip reading the unworthwhile stuff.

I do prefer a friendly, fun forum, and feel that unnecessary attacks detract from the forum.

Well since you can't figure it out, I'll tell you. Let's say a real newbie dumbass sells a dead mint Meaner Street Limited Edition for $340. Now one hasn't been sold in quite a while so if someone searches it, finds that's how much it sold for, they will assume that is how much that knife is worth. There is no bible on how much each knife is currently worth, so I get people that lowballs me all the time with attachments that is how much it is worth.
You don't like my price, that's fine someone else will buy it, otherwise I wouldn't have a business. Besides, you don't want my money, don't sell to me. Most people here don't mind since I pay instantly, I'm pretty honest and they know what my intentions are. No hidden strings, they all know I'm making a profit and don't mind paying it because they missed the Ganza or wasn't able to take off from work, buy a round trip ticket, pay for a rental and hotel to buy one knife they wanted.
This is a free market and if you check my feedback, I guess most people don't mind doing business with me. I'm here to help people get the knives they are looking for because they aren't online all the time or may be slower at finding the good deals. To them, it's worth the little extra money to have and live a life and still have their dream knives.

Yea, he was a dumbass, that was my first Busse sale here on BF to Steelnut. And it was my best sale and I thank him for it. He showed me what all the fuss was all about with Busse, got me looking into what the demand all about, and look at me now. :D

Well, if you want to consider me a "Old HOG", the reason I don't post much anymore is because it isn't "as much fun" as it used to be. We used to talk about Busse knives sure, but there there was so much more in learning about other things like the best booze, cigars, etc., plus, the were many funny posts often too. It seems once there was the price explosion (long before LK ever arrived), it put a damper on the fun of collecting Busse knives. You used to be able to afford a old straight handle knife as a user. Did I ever benefit from buying low and selling for a profit? Of course, I remember a guy once that just had to have a knife I had. I told him I didn't want to sell it, but he bugged me for two weeks to sell it to him. I finally told him I would take $1650.00 for it, but I told him it was not worth even close to that amount ( I even told him several times). He bought it anyways. Later, he tried t sell it back to me for the same price and I said "no", it wasn't worth it, like I told you earlier.

It would be nice if this forum was back to enjoying Busse (or any other brand) knives and the other joys of life. The older you get, the more you think about enjoying the time you have left. It is after all, a limited amount of time..................................

Dan, just ignore all the negativism of others and continue what your doing. My collection and other collectors' collections isn't completed yet.
 
I used to enjoy Tony G's euphemistic posts on womanizing. He has been back recently. I don't know him but he has made me laugh out loud more than anyone else in my 3+ years. Tyrkon Lawson made me the most excited about using my Busses. And Randucci used to do some cool mods and heavily influenced personal tributes. Guyon, Progunner, Bravado and Ban still post occassionally. I know looking at old threads that there some real active in the past that no longer are but that could be due to something else besides lousy newbs. I am certainly a boor of a noob. I have been drinking Wild Turkey, otherwise I'd be asleep.
