Jack Wolf Knives - Back on Track

Awesome! Glad to hear it. I encourage you to watch the disassembly video. Its long and might put you to sleep this time of night, but you will get a real good look at everything. Thanks for your support! -Ben

I just watched the video. I like what I saw. I think it should be pretty simple for me to remove the covers and use them as templates for custom wood covers. :)

I don’t know how feasible it would be considering the knives are hand finished, but I think it would be cool if you were able to offer replacement covers in exotic wood for the the knives.

I’ll be snagging a natural Micarta Laid Back Jack just as soon as DLT gets them in stock. I’ll report back. :)

They look great…another super interesting carbon. Do you have an estimated timeframe on the K9 drop?
Hi DJ, I am not releasing the production schedule, as I desire to have a little suspense to keep things fun and exciting. but the drops will come monthly and there will always be about a 3 week heads up from announcement to drop. Hope that helps some! Ben

Awesome! Glad to hear it Fixall. yes, super easy for you to remove the covers so you can make some and I can't wait to see em! That is a good idea about replacement covers by the way. I am very gun-shy about woods, even the exotics. It' the shrinking and swelling that concerns me. I've seen natural materials get here to AZ and get all kinds of twisted; even materials that aren't supposed to exhibit such behavior. But if I can prove it out with testing, I would absolutely consider it.

Thank you so much for supporting my effort and I really hope you are satisfied with the knife! Regarding DLT, man they sold out so damn fast on the Sharpshooters I was blown away. So you may just want to have a backup plan in place, unless you are standing by the computer ready when the drop hits. I look forward to hearing from you!

As far as wood scales go there are many resin stabilized woods available. Then you don't have to worry about shrinking and cracking. I love a deep contrasting box elder.

I know a guy....

Just kidding. I do have a Laid Back Jack on the way from DLT now though. :)

I noticed that too, maybe the FOMO is subsiding.
Hi there John, yeah so far it is only the Fat Carbons that sell super fast. Same with the last drop. There are a lot of pieces in the production run so shouldn't be a challenge to get a Micarta. I really underestimated the demand on the Fat Carbon it seems.

I think the very reasonable $25 upcharge for the Fat Carbon is a big part of that. On the majority of knives I’ve seen, Fat Carbon commands a premium of $50 - $100 over Micarta or G10.

I personally thought the green Micarta was just too good to pass up though. :)
