Thank you Ed.I watched the entire video. The knife looks solid and sounds solid both on opening and closing and appears to be well finished. It should appeal to those interested in modern-traditional construction.
Not meant to be critical, but I can understand the marked up cost what with the knife in a cloth, in a tube, in a box, in a box with a logo sticker, a leather slip, and a chip.
Good luck to you and your company.
Thank you for the feedback and kind words! This is something I can consider in the future if I get enough requests. My bias is, I really like half stops. But I am always open to suggestions and honestly this is the first time someone has asked for it. I am not opposed to it. Seems like half stops really are en vogue, but if enough people want it, it’s easy enough to designed it in.Jack Wolf Knives I like the looks a lot.
Any chance you will do a run of anything without half-stops? I have sworn off buying more knives with half-stops, just ruins the experience of a smooth pivot on a slipjoint for me. If it has a stiff spring and a half-stop, I have an outright strong dislike for that style of action. Swearing off half-stops has made it really easy to not buy more slipjoints though as it seems like everyone has them. It was one thing I loved about queen knives.
I don't think I'm in the majority there, but it is something I look for on a spec sheet these days.
Thank you brother! Lots of variety to choose from!I like what I see! The total package is really cool. The Gunstock is just not for me. I may snag another model though! Congrats Ben!
Are you going to be at Blade this year?Thank you brother! Lots of variety to choose from!
Which business decision?I fully understand your business decision, however for this reason I am out
I’m hoping that was a vague “Shark Tank” response, generalized for humor, instead of a lazy non sequitur.Which business decision?
Yes. And I will have some knives to sell there. Are you going to be at Blade this year?
Thank you! You are correct, the liners and bolsters on each side are one integral piece of titanium.Looks very promising so far, looks like good quality and I like the idea of an integral handle and bolster, if I understand correctly.
Off shore manufacturingWhich business decision?
I see, you wanted these knives to cost $400 insteadOff shore manufacturing
Thank you for commenting and the well wishes.Other than the gunstock design, I have to say that nothing about this product says "Traditional" to me. From the packaging, to the design choices made, this whole project seems really geared towards getting Instagram likes. Sorry, but that's just my personal take on this.
I'll stick with GEC and Lionsteel/Viper offerings. Best of luck with your endeavor.
