The response I got from the factory is, "The screws is American Standard. The threads is T10." I know that doesn't exactly answer your questions, and due to a language barrier, I request you please bare with me on this until I can take one of these knives apart after Blade Show, and I will measure the screw lengths and determine the T sizes for all the screws.@Modoc ED Torx bits are standardized, not metric vs sae.
Fun fact they are older than me!
Waiting on OP about the thread size can’t wait to see these at Blade!
edit- idk how my text is bold
It is stainless but I am not sure the exact alloy. I will ask.Your levels of fit and finish are outstanding!!
What type of steel is the backspring?
Sorry, I mean why is the country of origin not on the blade? Like A. G. Russel knives. The knives are manufactured by Reate in China. They are one of the best OEM manufactures in the world.
Maybe because these are prototypes meant for evaluation purposes and not for sale. Perhaps once when they go to production it will be. Nobody's pulling the wool over anyones eyes here, OP has been very open to the whole process.Sorry, I mean why is the country of origin not on the blade? Like A. G. Russel knives.

Exactly. The OP is being open and honest about this being a Chinese made product.Maybe because these are prototypes meant for evaluation purposes and not for sale. Although Modern Slip Joint Knives aren't really my thing... It's refreshing to see someone utilize many different styles of Traditional Folders in their modern interpretations.
I cannot disclose the manufacturer's ordering and pricing details, as I have a Non Disclose Agreement with them. That being said, I can only pray that if I order the minimum that I can sell them all!! I am certainly willing to increase production numbers as time goes on, but I have to start with a reasonable risk, I hope you understand. This is a marathon, not a sprint, and I will do everything I can to get knives into people's hands!Just out of curiousity and for no reason in particular ...BenJack Wolf Knives ...Im wondering what your minimum order is...you see I know a bunch of people who like traditional pocket knives from the internet...

I will gladly take pictures of the autopsy when it happens. But I can tell you now that everything is screwed together and there are no pins to speak of. The screws that pass through the spring and into the liners are countersunk flush in the liners so the covers can ride overtop, and the covers are screwed into the liners separately, as those are the screws you can see. When you take one apart please make a video or at least include lots of pictures! I for one am specifically interested to see if the liners under the covers are pinned (like Lion steel) or if there are screws underneath so we can completely take the knife apart.
Understood, I do not plan on putting the country of origin on the knife itself, unless I am required to by law (which I am not aware of that requirement?). All I want on the knives are the Jack Wolf Knives etch (which I am thinking about tweaking some) and the steel type on the reverse. I really want it to be clean and as much like a custom made slip joint as possible. Most customs just have a makers mark and that is all.Sorry, I mean why is the country of origin not on the blade? Like A. G. Russel knives.
Correct, not trying to hide anything at all and I am proud that these are made by Reate. However I do not plan to put country of origin on the tang stamp when the production pieces roll out.Maybe because these are prototypes meant for evaluation purposes and not for sale.
