Jack's Random Tuesday Carry

I still don't like this knife at the price I paid for it. But it cuts, i can't complain.

I got the football cheap, probably because of the lacing job.

When I was a boy, footballs were still made from heavy leather, with a lighter internal 'bladder', over which the outer was laced. The balls were heavy enough dry, but they absorbed rain water, and got covered in mud. If you got hit with one in the face, you not only risked concussion, but had to walk around looking like Frankenstein's monster for a couple of days! :D

My random pick, this week, was this Stan Shaw Ruler Knife

Jack, I have very similar knife made by Krusius in Solingen. On the other side of the blade in a etched diamond is "Gazelle". But what I found most interesting was that on the first side in three lines it says "Krusius" "Solingen Germany" and the third line says "British Zone". I think that makes the knife made before 1956. That's very interesting John, I love little details like that 😎👍
