January 2021 Buck of the Month - 722 154CM Solid Copper Handle

Well dang it... I was going to take a pass on this knife, but I like the direction that Makael is taking his, and the pics of the BOTM here do better justice than the image on Buck's website, so I just pulled the trigger on one.

I'd better haul all of our aluminum soda cans to the recycling center to help fund this breakdown in self control ;)

Done for now. Need a larger torch to keep the heat up. Some cool colors come and go for sure during the process. Another day I'll try some more. I do like eliminating the ridges around each faster. Not sure what would of caused that

Makael Makael awesome what you have done with this, truly artistic.

Mine is out for delivery today which is pretty fast for it getting here to Connecticut.

I'm a sucker for copper so I only hesitated a little.
First time using a Spitfire, I really like the form and feel of it though it's almost too pretty to use.
Since they don't seem to be selling out immediately I'm debating ordering a second so I can have an abuser and a neveruser, like with my frontiersmans.

I do realize the warranty is void once I started messing with the finish. Which is ok for my stuff. I do love copper and this platform allows modification at users risk. Fortunately any patina can be removed by a polish of the scales. Definitely a fun knife.

Man, mine just came in the mail, after figuring out how to open the box I was pleasantly overwhelmed by this unit. Hefty, smooth, centered, and glorious looking this knife has brought me into the 21st century when it comes to knife ownership.
I just don't know what to say, above and beyond my expectations and images just do not do it justice.

I set it next to my custom stag 110 and its heritage and class are evident Thank you Buck Knives for an excellent Buck of The Month.

This thing just shimmers, the treatment of the copper is as though it is gold, extra-ordinary.
