Jerry Halfrich Knives...

Posting a couple of beauties from the Blade Show for Jerry. (These knives were both sold at the show.)

"Hidalgo" (~ 4" closed, Ironwood Scales, Norris Stainless "Hornet's Nest" Damascus):

"Baby Rounder" (~ 3 1/16" closed, Ivory, Norris Stainless "Hornet's Nest" Damascus):

As always, your comments are invited and appreciated.

That Baby Rounder is gorgeous! I'll have to keep a lookout for one of those. I'm on Jerry's list but God knows how long it'll take to get to the top of that.

I never know exactly when to jump in, but I did want to say thanks for all the nice comments. It sure gives a maker some serious motivation to stay in the shop and try to create pieces that maintain your approval and interest in my knives. I've got a little annual trip coming up. When I get back I'll see if I can put something on the Forum in the way of a new design. I've had something rattling around in my head for awhile. It's finally starting to take shape. Thanks again.

Regards,

This euro found its way home with me from Atlanta:

Loved Jerry's new Hidalgo design...and it sounds like another is right around the corner.

It's usually shortly after we talk on the phone and I remind you...:p

(Have a safe trip brother.)

Just some excellent work Jerry. Many of your designs and work speak to me. Plus your just down the road a bit.

Here's a few images of some new knives (unfortunately they're not mine) which Jerry sent me to look at last week.

A front lock version of Jerry's "Hidalgo" and a new model called the "Crossover" which is scaled with "lightning strike" carbon fiber.

I am just lovin' that Hidalgo design. That really is special. The subtle arrowhead shield is cool beans...

I like that one a lot too, Corey. Now, let me ask you this...should the shield be turned around 180* to face the other way? Or not? I just can't decide one way or another definitively.

I think the shield would be more conventional turned around, so . . . it's perfect the way it is! It fits the pattern.

This is just me elliott and its personal preference but I would want the point of the arrowhead pointing forward.
Ken.

Well it ain't my knife, Ken, so you won't hurt my feelings...But Jerry hasn't replied to me since I suggested it. :p

Maybe Jerry purposely kept it that way to make it not so Scagel-ish (is that even a word?). In either direction, that knife is the complete package.

Lookin' good, Jerry. I'm guessing that you can pinch that one open without the use of the nick?
