Last Saturday on Greer's Ferry Lake the annual cardboard boat races.

All this cool sci-fi talk got me nostalgic, so I pulled out my cards. I have more cards packed in little boxes than in pages, all Star Wars series, but I thought the Battlestar Galactica (original TV series) and ET cards would give everyone a chuckle.

However, even though you are offering a beautiful knife and I would be proud to have a chance at it, I am going to ask you to pass the entry on to someone else.
There are others who have put much more creativity into their attempts to be drawn and have shown a fervent desire to add your knife to their collection.
That said, as a last resort if you happen to need a name to "fill the hat", I'd be very happy to be thrown into the mix.
I am very glad that you were able to obtain the Space Ship knife, grats!
And again, kudos for a very cool GAW.

So, let's play for a guaranteed entry into the final 5... er, I mean 10... or maybe 20 if we get enough entries.
First one to name my absolute favorite Sci-Fi series of all time will be guaranteed a spot in the final drawing.
You have to be kind of exact with the guess. Hint: it's already been posted in this thread. Good luck.
Even if you are not "officially" entering the GAW, you can still try to guess my favorite Sci-Fi series. If correct, you can gift your guaranteed entry to one of the other entrants (you name them).

Hmmm, I am mostly playing for fun and I am bit intrigued.

Firefly is a fan favorite, an excellent series that was cut too short. I am going with that as a guess.

So many to choose from. . .

I'm going to go with Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (one I've only briefly entered into, but have heard to be the best of all the series; I've always been a Next Generation guy, myself).

Nope. And you are correct that Next Gen was better than Deep Space 9. But not my favorite either :)
