I place a order on 05/5/2011. I paid by money order at my local USPS. I have not heard once from PVK and nothing has been shipped to my door. I am stunned by the unprofessionalism that has been displayed. There is no excuse that ONE email or phone call can not be returned from 05/5/2011 to today 5/20/2011. If you have any advice or past experience on dealing with PVK and can help me out can you PLLLEEAAASSEEE let me know. I sent him nearly $400 and have heard NOTHING.

thats strange, i ve dealt with him in the past and he was always on point, maybe he has fallen off a bit or he had an emergency or something god forbid. i would just continue to try and contact him or depending on how you paid file a fradulent charge if you used a credit card or file an investigation if you sent an MO. i would def notify him of you intent to do either before actually DOING either. hope everything works out and im pretty sure it will , last year i ordered over 1200 worth of autos and stuff from him and i never had a problem.

Its really interesting......I heard from some that he is great and they get stuff in three days. From others I hear they dont get things for months or ever. I have called and called. I actually was thinking that nobody goes that long without answering the phone and was also questioning his well being...I hope all is well. I notified him that I would be sending a inquiry out if I did not recieve any word back from him.......I simply want to see if the MO was cash. I cant find many recient post about deals with PVK so I was wondering if he has gone out of buisness or something. Either way there should be some type of notification via a posting on his website of voicemail letting customers know what the deal is.....its never good to leave people hanging when they just shelled out $400. I hope this all works out soon.

You'll probably get your stuff. PVK has always been like that, somethings are shipped quickly, other things take weeks:(. Never heard a satisfying answer on this, except that he was a high volume/one man show. I also suspect he backorder things and just doesn't mention it.

Take heart though, I've never heard of him actively stealing for customers, you just got to poke him a bit.

Thats what I've heard also. I think your suspicion may just be correct, which would really add to the delays in a one-man setup.

Nor have I, and I did a lot of looking before I ordered from him.

The fact that I got an email from him on a Sunday morning made me feel he was at least working hard at it.

Considering his muliple sites and huge inverntory, not to mention pretty good prices and semi-hard to find items, don't know why he doesn't hire some help...could make his life a lot easier.
 
I am at least excited to hear from him. He is a man man show.....but my only thing is why not hire somebody to help him out? I get he has hard to find stuff(which is why I purchased from the site) but I mean in order to keep customers happy u cant go weeks without a email. I am a teacher which is crazy stressful but still I find the time in the day to shoot out a couple. When somebody spends $400 you expect to hear from the vendor.....I mean seriously I was about to call friends and family hoping to make sure he was till ok. My hardest thing im struggling with is after three weeks all I get is a "hang on buddy" thats not professional at allllllll. Pretty rude actually.....since I have been hanging on for weeks. I hope this gets resolved and I thank all you guys for your active help and advice.

I don't know this guy and I don't know his business but you haven't been hanging on for "weeks". You stated that you bought a USPS MO on 5/5, a Thursday. You didn't pay him at the post office like you said, you sent him a PMO. I've had mail take a week or more to get to me, but let's say he got it to his place of business on Monday, the 9th (it could just as easily have been the 10th or 12th). That means, assuming he got it and assuming he was able to process it that day (which, if he is a one mail operation may not have happened), there was an 11 day period between while you panicked and stressed out, while sending numerous emails, not the "weeks" figure you keep bandying about. No wonder he said, "hang on, buddy". Maybe he should have answered your email sooner or maybe replying to panicky emails from customers like you are why he can't get your order out faster.
 
The thing is, business is business. Set up a system, a schedule, an agenda to track what you're doing, what you owe. There will always be nervous customers, they need a human contact and they'll be OK. A reputation for poor communications doesn't help.

I sent in an order to a dealer with a reputation for excellent customer service. I was out for an evening stroll when my phone rang. One of his staff had information for me, so they could go ahead with the order. It can be done, it has to be a business's priority focus. Are you [selling a product] or are you [satisfying a customer]?

I dont really know why you feel the need to attack. Bizarre behavior to say the least. I dont know who you deal with but when you dont get a email or any contact for 17 days from a vendor thats just not good buisness. ESAV said it best you MUST make it a priority. So YES I have been waiting for weeks. Not acceptable for a buisness bottom line. And maybe he didnt send out my package because he is busy replying to a bunch of people like me who are saying......wheres my stuff?
 
If you feel attacked, that may be part of your problem. Please quote where I "attacked' you above. You don't like my pointing out the time line and your exagerations of the time you had been waiting? Oh well.
 
I also feel like you attacked him. But, kindly explaining to him your perspective was out of the question. I love the internet...
 
When I had probelms with him I emailed everyday and called at least once a day until I finally got what was owned to me. :D

My girlfriend bought a batanga clip blade as a surprise present. Needless to say I was surprised to hear her credit card was charged and she has been waiting over a month now and still no knife & as always with PVK knifes. Any and all emails,phone calls and attempts to resolve issues have been ignored.I will keep you all posted on the situation when we either receive the knife or 100% confirm if we have been ripped off
If I would have known she was going to order a batanga balisong online I would have told her to go to Pinoy steel. Although I have never done any business with Pinoy Steel "yet", I have noticed that the owner of Pinoy steel is an active balisong forum person who seems to communicate very well with anyone
 
Still nothing.....my money order was sent and cashed to his bank account. His has yet to answer my email or phone calls. There was info floating around that he was arrested. I just wish I could get this resolved
 
It looks like maybe Josh is going through a rough time. I've known Josh a long time and never knew him to be dishonest. Give him some time and I'm sure you'll get your items. If you happen to live in Canada or another foriegn country though, that may cause other problem outside of Joshs control.

If it was me I'd just keep at it. I can copy and paste the same email and send it everyday and I can dail the number and leave a message everyday. :D
 
"TWO MONTHS NOW",still no response what so ever. This is straight up crap I have called and emailed almost every other day for the past month now.I can honestly say I believe Josh Burbank/PVK knives has ripped us off and has no intentions at all in making things right.He probably figures were in Arizona and he is in Massachusetts so screw us. It's not like we are able to take a 2600 mile road trip over a $100 knife. I have filed a claim with my girlfriend's card and at the least he will get nailed on the charge back , it wont be another month till we get our money back. What a total Drama scene over nothing,all he had to do was take our order throw the bali in the box or package mail it off and there ya go. Its really not too hard to figure out as well the phone rings you pick it up,"hello this is pvk knives josh speaking" oh yes sir were experiencing some trouble with our shipping department we will have that knife to you by next week at the latest. i apologize for the mix up sir we do appreciate your business,thank you sir have a nice day.EASY RIGHT... It's much easier than not picking up you phone or returning phone calls hiding from your paying customers and hoping it will a magically start to come together for the best .WOW Im just ranting on here now , regardless of my being upset . PVK is a total RIP OFF,do not send your money to Josh Burbank he will take your money and ignore you until you either figure to much a hassle to deal with and give up or take a 2600 mile road trip to handle up on your business either way is dusty ass hell and PVK is done in my book!!!
