Josh Burbank/PVK.....BAD EXPERIENCE

"TWO MONTHS NOW",still no response what so ever. This is straight up crap I have called and emailed almost every other day for the past month now.I can honestly say I believe Josh Burbank/PVK knives has ripped us off and has no intentions at all in making things right.He probably figures were in Arizona and he is in Massachusetts to bad for us. It's not like we are able to take a 2600 mile road trip over a $100 knife. I have filed a claim with my girlfriend's card and at the least he will get nailed on the charge back , it wont be another month till we get our money back. What a total Drama scene over nothing,all he had to do was take our order throw the bali in the box or package mail it off and there ya go. Its really not too hard to figure out as well the phone rings you pick it up,"hello this is pvk knives josh speaking" oh yes sir were experiencing some trouble with our shipping department we will have that knife to you by next week at the latest. i apologize for the mix up sir we do appreciate your business,thank you sir have a nice day.EASY RIGHT... It's much easier than not picking up you phone or returning phone calls hiding from your paying customers and hoping it will a magically start to come together for the best .WOW Im just ranting on here now , regardless of my being upset . PVK is a total RIP OFF,do not send your money to Josh Burbank he will take your money and ignore you until you either figure to much a hassle to deal with and give up or take a 2600 mile road trip to handle up on your business either way is a dusty/shady outcome.

*I posted this in other forums however I want to let my "Bali Bro's" know what is going on with PVK as he seems to have a few nice Bali's for sale and someone who is new to the Bali world or just not hip to Josh Burbank's business are 100% warned***RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF***:thumbdn:
 
BaliMaster5: That's a very good point. If he got caught with an unlicensed firearm in MA on a domestic violence call, he probably has a pretty high bail, which might explain why he can't be reached. If he has priors, he may be looking at a loooong stretch. I'm going to try and do an inmate lookup now!

Complaints go in FEEDBACK, not in discussion forums.
Don't need to add the same complaint to every thread you can find, either.
 
I dealt with him over the years and live alot further then you do and I have always received everything I ordered from him. As was mentioned there may be something out of his control...etc. Give it some time to sort itself out one way or another. I have ordered over 12 knives from him and received everyone....he is a stand up guy IMO.
 
I realize my posting was a little over the top I am just totally pissed about this Pvk situation as it's caused me and my girlfriend to have some issues. Bickering over money lost ect...I also don't want to see ANYONE else make the mistake of sending this guy any money.He spoke to my girlfriend about 15 after the order was placed and said he would call right back,also stated he knew the order because she was the only krystal to have ordered from him ever.I wont post anything else about this as I am sure my postings informed enough people to spread the word about what happened to us anyways. Nobody can speak for Josh Burbank all we can do is speculate and guess the reasons why PvK is blowing it so bad lately. If he is having a hard time I honestly hope he pulls it together and things do get better in his life. I would still like my blade or money back regardless as I personally had no part in his life troubles.If anything my girlfriend attempted to help his business by giving PVK a chance and her money and hopefully he shows to be a righteous person and makes EVERYONES orders right. I can tell you this Karma is a B and anyone who's ever done myself or my lady wrong has gotten a real Bad Karma hookup even when we wished for not to happen.
 
Well, if it's any consolation, you will get your money back now that you've filed a chargeback. US credit card companies are very good about that kind of thing. :) I don't know Josh Burbank and I've never bought anything from PVK, but I have looked at the site a lot over the years and I too hope everything works out for him. I know how it feels to have your world fall apart, but it's never too late to get back on your feet.

I spoke with him via text yesterday, and he is not. However, he is not currently doing business for the next few weeks because of "lack of access to his inventory because of his impending divorce". I hope things work out for him. I have done business with him for years and even though responses from him are very slow, he has always come through for me. ;)

Unfortunately, the dealer has a long history of difficulty meeting customer service standards. With seeming legal troubles added to this, you would be better off finding another supplier at this time.
 
At the very least SOMEBODY has been able to reach Josh Burbank and confirm there is some personal drama he is in fact going through. With that being said I feel a little bit better. As the thought of him counting everyones money while laughing at all of our calls and emails was starting to play out in my head and it was starting to really piss me off. Still would like the knife though!!
 
He is not a thief (not like Andrew Kunz).....at least you know why you didnt get your knife. But I agree that i would be upset if i were in your position ;)
 
What should I do in Russia? I can not claim compensation for the Visa credit card, I can not come to him personally.
We can only hope that everything will be fine, and someday I'll get my MT Ultratech, paid April 29!
 
No words of wisdom here. I know someone who owned a small retail store and went through the 'unexpected' divorce thing. Company was an LLC, wife never worked a day but was on the masthead as 'V.P.' Papers were filed to prevent any business from occuring and everything went south real fast. On the plus side, the debt and obligation would have been jointly owned, so attorneys allowed a monitored 30 day sell-off of all remaing product in order to pay off the existing creditors. In this instance, I think everyone who was owed ended up OK, but it took a while, and as with anything, YMMV.
 
wow, i wished i had read this thread before ordering from PVK.com. instead, i found a thread about the best online knife sites to order from...and 2 of the few people who responded listed PVK in their top 3 favorite sites.

i am only on the first week with Josh as far as no response, but after reading this thread, i can see i may be in for a long ride.

I just checked out his site.Its a beauty with lots of pretty pictures of very high dollar knives.Right at the top it says 100% guarantee all items in stock and ready for shipment.(or something like that)If his business is locked up,where is all the money going.What a shame.Hope you guys get straightened out quickly.
 
Start dealing directly with friends. I'm maybe bought 2 knives from people I didn't know in the last 3 years...even though that turned out fine....no upfront money, easy return policy, and we are buds so we won't screw eachother. Real knife nuts have friends who are real knife nuts, and usually each has a knife the other wants. Keep it in the family and there you have it.
