Just for fun~ What would be your choice of SHTF Production knife ?

Mine would be the Scrapper 5. Was so taken with it that I got a few extras. I have taken mine to the amazon, Zambia, and afield many times in Texas. I trust it, although I dont make a habit to beat on it, I have seen plenty abused on the net, and feel confident that it will exceed my needs.

If I still had my ratmandu that would be it.

Anybody used one of the Ka-Bar ZK War Swords ?
I checked 'em out when I was in Tenn. at Smokey Mountian Knife Works. I didn't like any of the ZK series. The handles feel "cheap" & they are made in Taiwan ! The KaBaR Johnson Adventure Blades are nice but neither of these two compare to the Becker line up !

Good to know, thanks buddy !

No questions about it...it would be my 9/11 Combo - Ka-Bar/Becker BK9 & BK11 -

I like that setup. Paired up with a 1911 I think you'd have it made.

Another vote for the 7 here. It does the big stuff with a well-designed tip that gets the little stuff done too.

As much as I LOVE my BK-5, I'd probably go with the BK-7. It's a nice balance of size and ability with a thicker and stouter blade.

Paired up with a tomahawk of course. I've been a 'hawker since 1986 and can't think of being without one.

for me , where I am at right now
Id say an izula
I have given mine a fair run .. I like it . I bought a couple more for family even .
Its really a tough little knife .. did all I asked of it for the last few months , and that ws kinda more than id ask of most knives .
I dont have jungle or zombies to deal with tho . If I did , Id probably want something different

but ont he subject of mad max adventure scenarios ... I cannot resist linking this clip .. since I actually had an xc coupe john goss special ... and the people hooning around mad max parody style make me miss that old car sooooo much
