Okay,
EODM:
The duplex grind on the grass machete was to bring the edge down to a proper thickness while still leaving enough mass on the blade. On other machetes, that is accomplished with a full flat grind and a short truncated sabre grind. With our hollow grind on top of a hollow grind, the large full thickness panel gives us the mass we were looking for.

We are talking about a hard sheath for the Big Bro. No action yet ...No the 1245 sheath will not fit. If you need a hard sheath, there are many Kydex sheath makers on the net and on this forum that do a nice job and can help you.
For the first several years, Blue Ridge Knives (A distributor) had an exclusive on the leather Mark Is. That has ended and we are opening the distribution of the leather Mark I to everyone. You should be able to find them more readily available.

Yes, Micarta handle scales for the BK15, 16, 17 are being worked on. They will be ready at SHOT 2013 (January). MiamerZombie knives are in inventory and will be intro'ed at SHOT 2013. But some sellers probably are already advertising them.

I do not believe your knife is a standard Union/KA-BAR Model. It has been very highly modified. A 1930-40 #664-5" blade and guard with a 1950-70s pommel cap and stag handles added. The finger choil in the stag has been ground so that it should be interfering with the tang. But it isn't, so the blade tang has been either stubbed or ground so it does not protrude through the stag. The grind in the stag at the pommel is also something that is not a factory process. I could be wrong on this but I went through our collection and did not come up with anything that came close to your knife.
Sorry, but you can't ask for monetary value of a knife on Bladeforums. We at KA-BAR won't give values anyway. That is something that is between the buyer/seller and highly fluid.
Hope this helps.
