Ka-Bar's new Fun stuff: Zombie Killers

If you guys look in the file thread there are a set of black handles. IF they are a fair price, I'll buy the black handles. The green looks ridiculous and gross. But the blade shapes are very nice.
 
The blades look like SHIT! No kidding, is this the best they could come up with. Forget the green handles, those blades are useless!

yea im with moose, id like the specs on all of them if that isnt to much to ask;) blade thickness, length, and overall length to be more precise. or if you have a JAB potbelly or baconmaker are the handles the same as the new zombie line just different color?
 
Zombies cannot see turkey turd green.
I'm sure that fact was part of the behind-the-scenes decision making.
 
I am down for a skeletonized baconmaker. Neon orange/green paracord wrap might just work...

Those are MSRP - so I bet these come in really reasonable street price. If the folder is close to Dozier prices, I might be in for that as well.

So, Vin, how do you really feel about the blade designs? I mean, your original post left me questioning your position on the new knives, so, I thought I would ask you to claify.:D:D

I like these two and isn't that more of a chartreuse for the grips ? As in safety vests.

I have not seen any info on that yet, but yeah a bit brutish. Seems like the winner of the bunch to me.
 
Handle color matters not a whit to me........if it's function is close to the brute, I'll be first in line to buy.

The handle will be in your hand.....when you're cutting stuff, other-wise on your belt......Hell, I ain't looking at it at those times anyway!
 
Couldn't KaBar brought back the brute instead? I think that would have been better :confused: I do kinda like some of the ZK blades but....I just don't know :confused:
 
Yuck. Those don't appeal to me in the slightest. I want to like the folder but that blade - yuck. Bleah.

I just want the patch Mrs S posted on the ESEE forum that goes with these.
Although that big puppy above might be Ok for clearing branches, cattails, & weeds if it's really got a 10+" blade like the article said.
 
Just out of curiosity, if these were not being called "Zombie Killers" and came with the 2 handle sets (black and whatever that color is), but were pictured with the black handles, would ya' like them better? Seriously. I honestly like two of the choppers, the Brute-ish one and the billhook (although, I would probably modify the tip a bit to make it a bit more pointy). If they're made well, I don't see anything mall ninja-ish about them outside their name. Except for that fixed tanto. That really does look like something BudK would carry.
