Berak, just drop it man. The world is not against you, just your inability to grasp a very easy to understand concept. Change your attitude, give it some time, read more, post less, then you will find this place to be a knife lovers heaven :thumbup:
 
This dude is clearly on a mission to destroy his reputation in here completely.

I used to work with an old swamp yankee who had a great saying..

Do you really imagine that anyone who has read this thread would ever do any sort of deal with you, ever?

You have done your absolute best to trash any reputation you might have here, why do you continue on? What do you hope to achieve? Do you think you can talk your way out of this somehow? I'm curious.
 
I am here only to acquire a few of what I believe to be some of the finest knives available. I am more than happy to support Jerry and his fine business directly and not have to deal with some who have an overblown sense of self-worth and ego under the self labeled guise of honor or whatnot.

Maybe I just find the dynamic interesting. Maybe I just want to keep the thread near the top so that all members can be warned of my "shady" nature, lol. That was a concern of one of the prominent posters in this thread, he didn't want it to fall off the board too soon. After all, someone almost got paid by me a few hours after I had considered cancelling the order. It should not be left to chance that another member here may end up bearing that level of trauma again.

It doesn't matter that I've said it was my mistake.

At this point it's mostly amusement value only. I find the musings and ramblings and foaming at the mouth quite entertaining given the "severity" of my infraction and that somehow by continuing to discuss it make it worse. If I post "I'm digging" and "trashing my reputation" but the five posts that respond to mine are just clarifying the rightous view of the many. Lol. You can ask me why I would continue to post in a thread that's about me? Isn't it more odd for random members, who now have no intention of dealing with me and no other reason to comment add a comment to that effect even though I've stated I have no plans to buy from the exchange? Lol. The whole thing is quite amusing.

I think I see the root of the problem here. You appear to be unable to grasp the difference between ego and integrity. This would certainly explain your attitude. Such is life and no great problem for me, you have been added to my "never deal with" list and I move on. I'll leave you to enjoy your stay with all these people you dislike so much.

You're not alone... my guitarist is a big knife collector and has been on this site a LONG time and has noticed the same thing. Tho I just joined I've lurked for a while... I understand what you're saying and agree, despite being against the group dynamic...

Hey berak, you are on my "do not deal with list" and probably a lot of other's also now. You flaking on your "I'll take it" isn't the cause. The cause is, once many people informed you that we frown upon that type of behavior you just keep on with your stuff like you're going to convince us otherwise. But be happy because you're going to be with other special people like yourself where you'll fit in perfect... It's called my ignore list. :D

Hey, thanks! I'm always happy, it's my nature. Your on my list too, which is quite likely longer and full of equally special people. :p

Ego can alter sense of integrity and honor. Real honor and integrity would be treating everyone with equal respect and maybe a little understanding. Most of what I've seen here is hard heads and unyielding attitudes (and you can include mine).

I don't know anyone here well enough to say "I don't like them.". I'd be willing to be if I met most of any of these guys in real life, we would most likely get along very well. I don't like some of the attitudes displayed here, but I bet they would not behave this way face to face.

And I am enjoying my stay or I wouldn't be here. There are some interesting, some helpful, people, and more importantly some great knife knowledge.

This is some good advice.

I do need to post less, I must be bored. All the easy concepts I grasped a long time ago. I said what I did was my mistake, is that not confirmation of "grasping" the concept?

I doubt I can change my attitude much. I am not a young man anymore, and being an old Irish stubborn mule who has had his share of *real* life experiences probably wont allow me much of that luxury.
