Kershaw Knives News Thread

But anyway, when I got in this morning, it was waiting on my desk. Since there is a thread with some good pics by Kohai and HarryWhite, I won't post any. But suffice it to say, this knife is everything that Kershaw (and all of us) wanted it to be. Shaved a patch of hair off my arm using as much of the edge as I could. It feels nice in my hand and it'll be my new EDC at about 1 o'clock IWB, behind my belt. I'm going to have to change it to tip up tho. But Kershaw thought of that too.

Thomas and Kershaw; ya'all done good!!!

Man I'm jealous! And for the record, we knuts never get tired of looking at knife pics! Its the least you can do! :)

OOOOOOOK
But I have to use my WebCam cause I don't have my camera at work, so forgive the quality.

And the other side shows the tip up carry.......

... so I can EDC it here. It's thinner than other knives I've edc'd in waist band and I don't even feel it being there.

. It will sit a bit further down and under the belt more, so it can't usually be seen especially when my shirt hangs down a bit.

Yup. It's the Osborne 940. I ordered it at the same time as the Cyclone. They came shipped together. It's going to be my other EDC, carried vertically along side my wallet in my back pocket. I typically carry 3, one being a Leatherman Wave.

Got my two speed bumps today....GREAT knives !!! Great opening, steel and and great hand fit.....at $45 you can't go wrong

Man... I wish Kershaws (AO's, at least) were designed better for tip-up... the clip always looks weird, and the circle on AO's is just plain ugly and out of place.

I got them for $45 on ebay from a really good dealer for Kershaw...called yourknifeconnection. They have the BEST Kershaw prices

Thomas, if I were to add an edge onto a bit of the back of my Leek would that void my warranty?

Let me explain: I'm going to be getting some diamond stones and learning to sharpen on my Leek since it's already had it's tip messed up and I figure I'll just send it in and get back a Sandvik (sp?) when available... since this was the case, I wanted to put an edge on a small part of the back just for the heck of it (the portion that's closed in the handle).

hey guys just wanted to say happy easter to all of you. hey thomas, suggestion for you. an Offset with serrations in the recurve.

I guess that this is for Thomas-

When the Leek is issued using the Sandvik 13C26 steel will there be any designation on the blade indicating this fact? If not how will the consumer be able to differentiate? BTW I am anxiously awaiting this model as I really like that steel.

Thanks, John

Not to jump in your thread, but Thomas said you would not be able to tell, but he will let us know here on Blade Forums.

Thank you but if they are not marked at all how will the dealers be able to tell us? I have a 1660 Leek and understand not putting the steel spec on that one but 13C26 seems worthy of note. I fear that for some of us less educated it would be easy to have the wool pulled over eyes, or least my eyes.

My guess is he (Thomas) will go by "born on" dates. Maybe Kershaw will change their minds and mark the blades. It would be nice to pick up a knife and see 13C26 on the blade. That would remove all doubt.
