Kershaw Tilt...again.

I know one dealer updated the expected date to Fall 2011:D. I think that narrows it down.
So we can expect the Tilt when the 056X's are supposed to come out? Thats gonna be a VERY satisfying (and expensive) fall :D. I understand that the Tilt is a very ambitious project but over a year from when pre-orders were first available? Guess we're all just crazy enough to wait. ;)

I thought the 056X were 2012? Also haven't seen much of the 0780, 0750, 0550, or the kershaw knockout, piston, echelon, etc.

I'm guessing Kershaw is having trouble with all their new models.

I am sure the 056x's will get pushed back also. One high end knife at a time is what it seems they can do without cutting into their regular production lower end demands. You have to keep the big orders flowing to stay in business. The 0551 is such great buy to the customer but probably helps their bottom line very little.

1400 units times say $50 profit = $70,000. I hope they are making more than that off of great knives like the Tilt, but it is probably way less. The Tilt may not make any money and just be PR or advertising budget. Sell a great knife at cost, help your dealers out and get tons of free advertising. I hope that doesn't happen but everything is a risk.
100,000 Leeks sold to Walmart and the like with $5 profit is what keeps this great company great.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure all the higher end stuff will be delivered later too. Although, the 056X's aren't made out of anything kershaw hasn't dealt with before.

KVT, that's about it. I think the 0550 would be very fitting of that statement, though I think the extra thick lockbar complicates matters for that model.

possibly. But its definitely not a complicated as the Tilt. If (WHEN) we see the Tilt, i'm sure the 056X's will be a breeze for kershaw.

Who's sending me the check?

I'll tell you right now that if I had a million dollars to invest I would invest it in Kershaw and ZT. Not the knives (actually, yeah the knives too!), but the companies themselves. Big and bright futures ahead with the products they're going to be producing.

Just imagine ordering 2,000 units of your own custom design Ti flipper awesomeness. Mmm if I had a million dollars (well, ten million. The million dollar thing was great 15 years ago, but nowadays it would just pay off your house, get a decent car, and maybe cover your retirement).

First small run of Tilt's left for the streets today.
:D Awesome! I know I'd still probably be lucky to get my pre-order filled out of the first batch, but it's only a matter of time now... Well, I guess it has always been a matter of time, but it's soo close now. Thanks for the update Thomas.

Yeah, but when is the exact moment they will be at the dealers?

Good news. Don't know if I'll have the expendable funds to grab one, but can't wait to see some more pics/vids of it.
