Oh dear lord
A TRUE POS copy of a Stellar American Knife.
How can people SLEEP at nite knowing they bought a
Loser THIEVES knife.
OH thats right ..
BECAUSE its cheap...
Give me a break man.
BY the """"REAL"" Deal. You will know the difference
These FAKES disgust me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont care if its made well and it 400$ cheaper.
IT all BS in my eyes..

The problem is it isn't made well. It's made passably decent. If you can't look at these pictures and see the obvious quality differences between this knock off and a real Hinderer, then maybe you shouldn't be buying nice knives in the first place. The show side scale appears to have been made in a complete different fashion than the lock side. I wonder if it's aluminum.

These are the reasons I have a hard time trusting most people's knife reviews. Is it centered? Does it lock up nicely? Is it smooth? If the answer to all three is yes then it's 'OMG, this knife is so amazing. Clearly it's Sebenza levels of quality' with no regard actually paid to the construction.

Junk knockoff looks like a junk knockoff to me.

Why are we talking about this?
It's a clone, it doesn't have to say Hinderer on it.....

There is a whole sub-forum on this site supported by Rick, so maybe just out of a little bit of respect for that, the work Rick has done to develop this excellent knife, and the fact that every time you buy one of these someone you love loses their job. (You are going to have to think big picture about that fact):

Lets stop this clone loving trend......(please)

It does nobody any good, except people who view knives as quantity vs quality, and live for instant gratification vs financial reality.

It's funny how most of the folks who don't have a problem with this stuff are ones who buy things, and not create them. Have your creation copied, no matter what name is stamped on it, and see how you feel. Legalities aside, I have never spoken with anyone who worked hard to CREATE something from scratch, and then was appreciative of the "free advertising" someone gave them by ripping them off.

Design similarities are one thing. Straight up copy, counterfeit, ripoff, clone, whatever you want to call it, is something else entirely.

Not very many people care anymore.
They just want it, and they want it cheap.

The big picture is lost in crazy consumerism.....

you couldn't give that knock off to me, I sure as hell wouldn't pay for it. Supporting counterfeiters hurts the hobby.

I am amazed that someone doesn't start up "Counterfeit Bl4d3forums" or perhaps "homage Blad3forumz" or something of the such to they can discuss this crap.

Especially those that continue to espouse the pros of knockoffs.. ^^^^

Lets put it this way..If you can interchage parts without an issue..It's not an "homage"..It's a knockoff, meant to capitalize on the hard work of others regardless of not being marked with logos.

Sure,..Rationalize your purchase to yourself any way that you can..use the loopholes that these people use to create these "homages", "copies", etc.
In the end, it doesn't matter because the casts of people will never change..There are thieves, there are people who support thieves and then there are those that have honor and class.

I would normally have not noticed this because I do not frequent this sub-forum but a Member and true Knife Enthusiast with more class than this threads Op sent me a PM.
Anyone who would take the time to do a review of a Fake knife which is a cheap copy and ripoff of a Man's work - should consider spending their time actually creating something useful and original that they can put their own name on.
That endeavor would actually entail taking risk, having a mind capable of real creativity and the skill to actually "make" something.
The Op obviously knew better than to attempt this in the RHK forum, this thread has been reported and I trust that it will be viewed as an afront to a well respected sponsoring Knife Maker and pinnacle of integrity within the knife community.

Shame on anyone who would patronize such crap. I detest Fakers, much like liars, cheats and Thieves - they rob the very essence of what makes us great.
Sad to see threads like this, truly sad.

The "Point" is...... Nobody in this community (or any other) should Buy, Review, Publish links or anything else publisizing Copies, Rip-offs, stolen intellectual property of a designer. Period.
To not grasp that concept is mind boggling and shows me the schism that exists between people who are opportunistic and self serving and the ones who actually go out on a limb and risk everything to CREATE something.
It is irrelevant whether one "likes" it or the original.
What is relevant IS someone is profiting from the sweat of another Man's brow...... Get it?

Why does this even need to be explained?

^^^^^
THESE!

It's beyond reprehensible, reading some of the moronic comments, written by such cheap, ignorant, people...

I'm just thankful that my reading time was cut in half, due to the fact, that thee most indignant, redundant poster in this thread, is on my ignore list.

Promoting this crap, is an embarrassment, to BladeForums...& FWIW- I highly doubt any of you dumb fucks would have the courage to approach Rick Hinderer at a knife show with one of these knockoffs & brag what a great cheaper version of his design, this counterfeit is.

Thankfully we don't normally see very many of these types of things on BF other than those CRK clones awhile back, a few years ago.

So to me that says not very many people here are buying them, or at least not posting that they have etc.

Always best to actually buy the real thing and support the makers IMO.

The problem really is that there are so many of these type knives out there now, the flood gates have opened so to speak and I would guess we all will see more to come in the future.

Seems these types of knives are being made in Mainland China and sold out of Mainland China for the most part so good luck in stopping that from happening unless they have some serious deep pockets and Political Clout so the only thing those of us here can really do is not buy them.

So I think education is the best option in the end, that's explaining why people should buy the originals in a mature manner so it doesn't sound like sour grapes or whining so people who read the threads will actually take them seriously.

That said there are people out there, customers who buy in those lower price ranges, some of them aren't actually that low, more in the mainstream price ranges so things are getting broader or so it seems.
