Post #59 - puukkoman is THE MAN!

I set up a target of white masonite and randomly placed the numbers in same sized circles all over the board. I stepped off 50 paces and took aim for the center and here is a piece (upper right quadrant) of the board. And NO, I didn't wipe it off and renumber AFTER I shot at the board. I decided after I had written several of the numbers on the board that I needed bigger circles after a test shot I performed. Besides, it ain't science, it's folksy!

Here is the count of the numbers with at least 9 pellets in their circles:

#32 - 9
#20 -10
#35 -10
#17 -11
#27 -11
#40 -12
#13 -13 (weird!)
#59 -16

And I'd like to know if international adjudicators were allowed on that pellet count, could be irregularities there...any chance of a re-count

Funny thing is, when I did my test shot on the weekend the weather was clear and mild. I set the target up in the same place and shot from the same position and I didn't get as many pellets centered on target. I think I pulled it at the last millisecond.

You can imagine my surprise when I walked out to pick this target up. If it had been a varmint, it would have been curtains for the sucker.

Thats fine. It keeps it fair.

Now if you had been using a new shotgun with one of the Super-Ultra-Tight-High-Tech-StopEmFromGobblin'-Turkey Chokes with a #4 shot Magnum round, then we could accuse you of showing a little bias. Especially when one number/circle is completely gone and all others are still in tact.
