Photos Klein Electrician Knife, please post pics of any electrician types,Thanks!

My father-in-law gave me his dad’s Utica Kutmaster a few Christmases back. I think it saw some good, rough use in its day. Naturally, it is among my most prized along with the Buck Cadet my dad gave me for my first knife.

Fortunately that is not always true of Kleins. Mine are robust and well fitted.
Maybe I just lucked out.
Not just luck, in general Kleins are well fitted and robust tools. Klein in fact added an extra step in QC before accepting tools from its suppliers. Based on the number of rejected seconds one encounters floating on the evil bay, Klein has always made an extra effort to reject tools not up to their QC specs. It is unfortunate that not all of the rejects had their tang stamps ground off by the manufacturer, and that some re-sellers of these rejected knives don't call attention to the fact they are re-selling seconds. Ironically, Klein sometimes gets judged by knives that were never accepted by them.

4 Klein electrician knives. 3 with wrenches and 1 with a folding crate opener.

Wonderful examples!!!!! Wow!!!

Thank you for the complements on the knives, guys. I'm also enjoying your photos. Lostball, that's a very well preserved knife!

Well this old boy finely arrived. Opening & Closing the blades sounds so cool I did it about 10 times before I even had a chance to look it over completely lol. The bone handles are as perfect as the day the knife was built. I never knew why there was a dip in the spine of the screwdriver. Looking at it in hand I assume it's so you can either pinch it open or reach the nail nick properly. I prefer to pinch it open myself. I have read alot about these types of knives and have found plenty of plastic handled ones and even some wooden but I can't find any vintage Camillus Electricians knives in Rogers Bone for sale any were. I guess that's a good sign:)20180619_220955.jpg 20180619_220853.jpg

View attachment 931376 The knife is a nos Colonial with rosewood covers but I do use a Klein bag and linesman’s every work day.
Very cool, I started this thread initially to get info on a 3 blade Klein I picked up. But then decided to open it to all electrician types, I like seeing these working knives get some spotlight time to. Actually quite a bit of variation and history to them. As a side note, I'm originally from a coal mining area of Virginia, and linesman type pliers are usually issued as part of a coal miners tool kit. Mostly Klein, but no matter the brand allot of people refer to the linesman type as "kleins". My Dad has several Klein ones most older than me,(39) some probably older than him (65) thanks for sharing

For sure the one top center. Just looked in the box and two Colonials are three bladed.
