Knife storage, what do you guys use?

I have maybe 10 knives now, all stuffed in the sock draw, what do you guys use to store your knives? I have a bunch of slipjoints on the way I would like to store nicely when not using, most come with sheaths. Was thinking maybe a spent 50 cal ammo box

50 cal box is good, 25mm ammo (Bradley) box is better. Separate knives and sheaths/case. Spray knives with Breakfree CLP and store in ZipLock sandwich bags and put in the box. They will last for years without any corrosion.

I found a compromise, full-sized Craftsman tool chests. Not as secure as a safe, but large enough and heavy enough that no one's going to grab one and walk off down the street.

+1. Husky boxes from Home Depot, also.

Get the ones with the ball-bearing mount drawers.

I use Spyderpacs for all my folders except for my Cold Steel xl Espada and my Rajah 1 and 2 which are too big for the pouches. I mount them on the wall which makes it easy to see and access the knife I want. Spyderpacs take up very little room and they're a lot cheaper than most of the storage methods above.

For a while I was thinking how to storage my knives, multi tools and flashlights.
When I got a wooden box with a bottle of wine in it I got an idea.
I painted the box and used foam for the inner filling. I cut out the foam in the shape of the gear inside and made an other layer to storage even more knives and flashlights.
In the end I used one big sigar box and a big wine box. The end result is pretty cool and cheap! Some Arc'teryx stickers to top it of and you've got your own EDC gear storage box.

I store my knives in these translucent plastic boxes ("Really Useful Box") as sold by Office Depot. They come in various sizes and allow me to see what I have in there. They stack nicely. I also keep fishing reels a smaller one especially if I am traveling to fish where I want a new spare available that is well protected during transit. For the most part, I keep the unused knives inside their original boxes. The knives that are just sort of "there" are stored inside a larger plastic tub along with empty boxes and so forth. I periodically dig through the large tub and take a few out to fondle, use and occasionally to give away.

I bought one of these 14 drawer Grizzly brand machinist's chest a couple of years ago from Amazon for about $140 bucks. It's a decent quality hardwood chest for the price.

Got my first pelican case today. Can anyone ID everything? :)

I recognize a few. And have some of the same here:

Silica gel packets live in the bottom of some of these slots. The struggle against humidity here in the south is very real.

I use airtight plastic storage bins with desiccant packs and put the bins in a large steel gang box for security. Not fancy but it is safe.

Since you have 10 knives currently in your collection - check this out to carry 6 of them (Boker makes a bigger version as well)

That is awesome
I use a couple Stanley plastic toolbox with metal latches (because the plastic ones break so easily) with the top racks on it for folders or boxed knives and the bottom cavity for fixed blades. But I've been wanting something for the wall but havent thought about it much (yet) 😁
