I'm here! I'm here!

Busy weekend. Have been doing a ton of house work. Had a realtor in today; looking to sell it. Got a few minor repairs and then it's on!

Daniel, glad to hear it wasn't as bad as it initially sounded. Hopefully you get up and runnin' in no time.

Saturday was strenght day at the gym; SQUAT SQUAT SQUAT!

No shop work this weekend, BUT I do have tomorrow off (intentionally!). I have some holes to finish drilling. It's on my list of things to do, heh.

Good stuff Bobby! Selling the house go buy a dedicated shop and cots, right? :D good luck with it all!

Random question... what are you guys interested in. Please play for fun! :D

1. small framelock, 3" closed, under 6" open... the size and ease of carry of a slipjoint but with my kind of style and a framelock configuration. Ti frames, thin slicer blade -
low $400 range

2. beefy yet tall bladed/slicey framelock with small functional choil....155" blade, super rugged looks and features but not too heavy - 4.7" handle, 3.5" blade
mid $500 range

3. ultralight button lock - dead simple and crazy light, 7-8" total length, sleek, not automatic or assisted but possibly an option
mid $500 range

4. Framelock that looks just like the friction folder, .125" blade - low $500 range

Y/n/n/y. I reserve the right to change my opinion after seeing a design/prototype.

Ultimately, remember to do what makes you happy!

I would love to see 1. I'm anticipating wanting a folder from you but I'd personally prefer a smaller format but with your slightly overbuilt look. Do one with a compound or recurve grind and I'd be in heaven. I also think it would be a great introduction to your work to new customers at a good price point.

Thanks guys!

I have all of these designed along with a few others... I was kind of leaning to #1 or 2 and that is cool to hear the feedback. I know I'd like something small to throw in my pocket.

Hey Daniel, I have just about 100sq/ft of .030" carbon fiber, if you want some for inlays into the Ti handles let me know. I'll cut some for you. Its thin enough that a cutoff wheel in a dremel zips right through it. But when you get around to making one for me I'll send you the good stuff, either mammoth or elephant ivory. :D

Oh, is Xander picking up the tab? Then #1, 3, 4. Please.:D

Morning Gents. Cold but sunny day here - going to make it a productive one.

Hi DFK Gang.
You are welcome Daniel.
I could go with either of the knife choices. All will be offered eventually, I hope.
Buckle in, Daniel.

The input really helps guys, much appreciated!

FBC the button lock/#4 combo has been seriously considered, in fact that might be the #3 option, lol. I'd want it to be sleek... it's the only one I don't have drawn up but most designs are easy to modify to button lock. I have my button in (you can order just the button part) and will be designing one around that... the button lock intrigues me and the knife can be so light and strong it is nuts!

Good morning guys!

The Button will get more hits than the DF Balisong, yes?

Most likely, I'm still planning for a Bali too though. They will be available in limited quantities I'm sure.

The recent button lock thread really got me interested in making one. The William Henry in the thread is a decent sized knife and weighs 55 grams!

I don't care about trends, I'm making what I want to and what you guys want. I feel ultralight/overbuilt is a winning combo... I'm going for it all the way! (in general... maybe with button locks too!) :D
