Knifeworks805 frustrating business ethics..

IDK what to do.. I really don't think mine will ever come back since he's been banned from the forum now.

I was talking about my post on his Facebook page, but I know what you mean, this whole situation has you in a tough spot. I'm sorry you had to deal with the guy and that this was the outcome, but at least this thread is here now to warn anyone looking to do business with him in the future. Hopefully you'll get yours back somehow.

Thanks for helping out man.. I really appreciate it.

No worries man. If I thought it would get anyone anywhere Id meet him face to face he has that polished blue manix on consignment in my local knife shop and surely he would want to get his money if it "sold".

You just hit on a very important point that many people need to try and understand. There was a case recently where another maker was not following through with his customers. People were left with no replies, no updates, they were out money and they were screaming for action.

I explained to all involved that once a person is infact banned, they are more than likely not going to make any additional efforts to contact them, or return money or property. This concept for some was tougher to understand than trying to explain Trigonometric functions to a dead cat. They wanted the person banned, AND they wanted the mods to get their items back. There is only so much we can do, we can understand that sometimes life will throw us an unexpected curveball, but the true measure of a person is really how they deal with it. However, people need to communicate effectively and keep their customers updated. If they cannot do this, we can't them here running loose ripping people off..

I just made this facebook group that he cant delete. Anyone who wants to step in and say anything or their experience feel free.

I wish I lived close enough to do that. I'm on the other side of the country.

Yeah, I totally understand what's going on, and I know you're doing all you can Rev. Thanks again for your help brother.

I just wrote off what he STOLE from me as a loss, and have reordered it. Money is gone though......

Not a bad idea. Since he cashed my check and this deal was done through mail isn't that considered mail fraud?

Hey, just read through the whole thread. I feel your loss. This is exactly why I hate dealing with things through the Internet. When bulls**t happens, very difficult to see things thru.

If money nor time was a concern, I'm sure you'd find him. Seeing as you have his mailing address. I can't imagine how this guy sleeps at night.

I've seen a few threads like this in car forums, when peoples dealings on "rare 3peice bbs's" turn sour... This one is different though. It seems like the analogy "shooting yourself in the foot" is really appropriate. I didn't look the the questionable characters buisness links but it seems like he was fairly well known and at least had some following regarding knives.

Maybe I'm different, but a succesful buisness based off trust and repetitive clients would be waaaaaay more profitable and enjoyable than having to dodge messages and censor /edit ur own Facebook.

Once again, I feel you loss buddy. Anything you can do to get your stuff back/make his life harder should be done.
Did u contact the police? What was their response?
