Knifeworks805 frustrating business ethics..

Hahahaaha, Ryan's buddies are all sticking up for him and bashing me for posting comments. This is ridiculous. They're making look like I AM THE ONE IN THE WRONG.. So, a concerned customer who doesn't like being lied to is wrong for continuing to post comments on his facebook? Yeah, that makes sense.

Its probably Ryan posing as different people  no but seriously Ryan truly needs to give you your knives back and money back so don't stop doing what your doing. They may not have your back but everyone on this forum does.

Edit: I was able to see what David Shelton said about Ryan's personal life getting in the way. Seems like a common theme because he was having personal problems when I was dealing with him too. Either he is extremely unlucky, or he lying. The second option is much much more likely. Id like to know what hes telling this David guy that's so bad in his personal life that he cant get on the internet and send a couple messages, and or go to the post office and ship the knives out.

As for the people siding with him, I doubt anyone would trust him if they had actually dealt with him. If they continue to ship him there knives then they are just plain stupid. simple as that.

I found that there is a couple common things people who are con men always say " Ive been busy in my personal life" ," A death in the family", "I'm not a con man" <- guilty conscious much?

Thanks bro. He can say whatever he wants, but I won't believe anything until the knives are in my hand.

Here is what I did in dealing with another assholic thief on the internet. I wrote him a letter with alleging all the facts of the situation and requesting a solution. On the bottom of the letter (typed in proper form) I added...

Federal consumer affairs division- fraud section

I did this with 2 persons like the subject herein. I got almost instantaneous results.

wow a lot has transpired sense i last posted. i just posted on his facebook wall and reported his facebook as a scam. i would recommend at least contacting his local police department and seeing what can be done, it cant hurt. good luck to all who have knives that were stolen.

I think you guys should all congregate together and form one formal document stating all your issues and just post it on his facebook page. Try to make the post seem as mature and calm as possible. Posting a complaint will probably result in his buddies chiming in on an situation they have nothing to do with. Posting something that's too harsh will probably result in him deleting it. Better yet, if his buddies insist on defending him, show them this thread-- present the facts and logic to his buddies and ask him whether Ryan is being reasonable. If Ryan is actually going through some "personal troubles" he shouldn't be accepting orders of which he can't attend to. In some way, ask him to drop any possible orders and focus on the ones he has in hand right now. This document should be public on his page and be present for everyone to see. I'm sure Ryan is plenty aware of this situation. I think the goal is to inform his potential customers about this issue. You're not asking his potential customers to stop doing business with him. You're asking his potential customers to give Ryan some time to work on current projects and finish up current problems. If you could successfully slow or stop his business momentarily maybe he'll actually put more effort to address your issues. Just my 2 cents. Sorry for being hypocritical, I have nothing to do with this, yet I'm chiming in. I just wanted to bring up a point.

you do make good points, but Ryan will erase anything that would avoid him getting more business/money. His personal life should not intertwine with his business and if he cant handle both he needs to drop the duracoat jobs and focus on fixing his issues.

I feel we have been more than civil with him in this manner, but enough is enough and Ryan needs to man up.

just my .02

He's admitted to needing the money from new customers in order to pay people back for botched work, he's robbing Peter to pay Paul. He's also can't keep orders straight and doesn't know who sent what when and where to ship it to.

Hell he can't even duracoat correctly unless it's a knife he doing specifically to flip ($200 para 2's... come on, he ain't no Picasso).

I feel he's the kind of garage home business person. Unprofessional, yet trying to make a living. I already brought out some points, but seeing how people have already tried many thing I think its time to take this to a legal level. I'm no expert in law, but if there is something you can charge him for, present it in a legal document with the signatures of all individuals involved. Maybe that will really grab his attention.

yup i agree a simple call to his police station would could possibly do wonders. the fact is that he has committed mail fraud and is stealing peoples knives. just look up the number for the closest police station to his address, call them and tell them what is happening, worse case scenario is they cant help but at least try.

these are what i see as the next any only other options in getting everyone their blades back.

1.) contact his local Police Department and see what can be done

2.) contact you bank and claim fraud and possibly get back the money you paid for the work. assuming you didnt trade for the work. ( props to revdevil this was his idea )

3.) send him a legal ( or legal looking ) document stating your claim and threatening legal action.

most importantly do not let the brief contact dissuade you! Ryan now has no reason to return anyone's knife or knives seeing as he is aware that his reputation was absolutely ruined. and everyone is demanding a refund. his " busy personal life " excuse is old and i would bet is simply a lie, seeing as it would take him 5 minutes to send everyone he has an order with an email saying what was up.

So last night I emailed Paypal and asked if there was a way for me to get my $55 back from this idiot. Apparently they offer buyer protection unless you actually need it.
Maybe I'll send Ryan an "official-looking document" :)
By the way, if anyone sees a Spyderco Military with a green pattern and an acid etched blade pop up for sale anywhere, please let me know.

I wish to hell I'd searched for him on BF before I sent him my knife.
